Ulta Jelly Gloss Lip Gel Review, Swatches: Hi guys, hope everyone is well and safe. I am not a gloss person anymore, there was a time when I would only apply lip glosses and nothing else, no lip balm or creamy finish lipsticks but only a lip gloss. Now I have become a matte lipsticks kind of person.

I did not buy this but received this as a gift among other products when I shopped from ulta(dot)com during the black Friday offers.

In Detail Ulta Jelly Gloss Lip Gel Review, Swatches and My Experience

ULTA Jelly gloss lip gel is available in 12 shades. I am pretty sure the one I have is called- Surfs Up (medium mauve pink) as the shade name is not written anywhere on the packing.

It’s the most basic kind of packing, a transparent tube with a cap and a small hole in the tube itself. There is no applicator with it, you squeeze the tube to get the product out and apply it. It is transparent so you can see the shade and how much you have used up and how much is left. There isn’t a lot of information available about the product on the tube itself.

I have the 10 ml variant as this was part of the specially curated black Friday offer. Its not a sample size, neither a full size but I can say its more or less a deluxe size product.

It’s a very light weight, non-sticky formula. It’s a tinted lip gloss, not a coloured one. It has the hint of colour but isn’t very visible as it’s not extremely pigmented.

The consistency is not on the thick side, but medium kind. It is quite comfortable on the lips, very moisturizing and doesn’t feel like anything on the lips. Since it’s a gloss it transfers a bit but otherwise it is good for a few hours.

As it’s not very pigmented and such a natural, neutral kind of shade I use it on top of my matte lipsticks, especially for the super drying ones, I would apply lip balm before and top them up with this gloss as well. Just a little bit and dab with your fingers so as to not move the lip product. If you prefer natural lips and have no pigmentation on the lips, this is great option for you.

Final Verdict

I am a full coverage, super pigmented lip product person so such a light tinted gloss doesn’t do the job alone, I will mix it with some other product, top it on some lip color and make it work. The formula is very comfortable, I love the formula, so if I have to buy any kind of a gloss, I will obviously be buying more shades from this range.

These are comfortable, light weight formula which are very good for everyday use and also great for the days when you don’t have your lip balm with you, you can always use these.

It’s very moisturizing and is a good product for beauties with very dry lips. If you are heavily coloured gloss kind of a person this isn’t for you, it looks very pigmented in the tube but it’s not that pigmented when applied on the lips.
