In Detail Wet n Wild Color Icon Blush Palette Review, Swatches and My Experience

Firstly, I think this product was launched only in India. Because I couldn’t find it anywhere on the websites of official retailers of Wet and Wild beauty. Also, this product isn’t listed in their official website. These observations make me want to believe that this product was an India exclusive launch.

The palette itself is very sleek, made of cardboard with a magnetic closure. The plastic scaffolding keeps the shades intact and prevents damage during transit. Basic information as well as the ingredients list can be found at the back of the palette. Packaging wise, its pretty good. However, there is no mirror or applicator.

This is called “Colour Icon Blush Palette” and I am not sure if they are entirely correct. Two out of the three shades in this palette are predominantly highlight shades.

The first shade is a called Bushin’ on Venice. This is a gorgeous pale rose hued highlighter. This does not have stark gold reflects yet it is warm toned. This will look stunning on all skin tones if like to experiment with your looks. However light to light medium skin tones can flaunt it anytime.

The second shade is Malibu Peach. Very true to its name, this is a peachy gold highlight. Has more prominent warm toned peachy reflects. This basically is a universal flattering shade. A total stunner on all skin tones. You can actually just use this on bare skin to give an illusion of “glow from within”. My personal favourite shade!

The third and final shade is called Sunset Rose. This is a reflective rose pink shade. This is the only shade with qualifies as a “blush shade” in my book. Although this is again a dual shade = Blush + highlight. So I don’t think you would actually need a highlight on top because this blush is already pretty reflective. All skin tones can flaunt this gorgeous shade.

One thing that I want to stress upon here is, you need to be light handed while playing with these shades. All of them have incredible pigmentation. Just a light swipe with the brush and you have enough product for a nice glow.

The texture of all the three shades is really smooth and fine. These do not have any significant fall out. Also, they are quite sturdy in the pan. Because I accidentally dropped my palette from a significant height but still none of the shades were damaged.

If you have used the WnW MegaGlo highlighters, the formula is pretty much the same. However this one has some prominent micro shimmers whereas MegaGlo has more of a metallic look. But on the face, both look equally awesome.

Final Verdict

I think this is an amazing palette to have specially if you’re a glow star! I still don’t understand why they call this a “blush palette”. They could have called this a face palette instead in my understanding. Anyways, pigmentation and formula wise the highlight shades and the glowy blush shade, all are unbeatable specially at this price. If you’re having second thoughts on purchasing this, I’d say go for it.

MBF Advises

This limited edition palette is a great face palette specially if you’re a beginner. It has these really pretty highlight shades as well as a glowy blush shade. You can experiment in so many ways. Dampen your brush a little bit before picking up the product for a more intense and metallic outcome.
