Wet n Wild Mega Cushion Contour Cafe au Slay Review, Swatches: Thanks to Kim Kardashian West, the mother of contouring, we all want a perfectly chiseled face. And the art of contouring helps you get that chiseled goddess like face structure. We all have seen different forms of contouring products. Some come in creams, some in powder and some in sticks and a few in a pencil format but a cushion? Seeing a cushion contour was the first for me.
Wet N wild beauty recently launched their mega cushion collection which has cushion lipsticks, cushion correctors, highlighters and a cushion contour. The cushion contour attracted me the most because I’ve never come across a liquid based contour product. We have seen liquid highlighters and many skin correctors come in a diluted form, I know Physicians formula has a cushion corrector as well. So, it had to be the cushion contour.
Now, let’s jump straight into the review.

In Detail Wet n Wild Mega Cushion Contour Cafe au Slay Review, Swatches and My Experience
The cushion line from Wet N Wild has by far the most adorable and chic packaging. The label has super cute doll like figures on them. And they are color coded in accord to the actual color of the product. So for the ‘brown’ contour product you have a brown haired doll figurine on the label.
To those of you who are not familiar with cushion product, they have quite the standard packaging. They come in a screw top or a flip cover case, inside which you will find a flat sponge applicator, a cover over the actual product to prevent it from drying. Once you remove the cover panel you will see a sponge which has absorbed the liquified product.
The Wet N Wild contour cushion is no different from the standard cushion packaging. The contours packaging is in a black plastic casing with a screw top system and all other features being the same as that of any cushion product.
I found the shade of the contour to be a good fit for my skin tone (fair with yellow undertones- close to Kryolan FS45). The finger swatch was pretty dark and pigmented so I started off with a very light hand and blended it out. With this product, a little goes a long way and it blends out seamlessly. I eventually kept building and blending the product up until I go the desired color.
The sponge applicator is pretty good and can apply the product on to your face very well but I tend to go a bit extra and dab a slight amount of the product using the sponge and blend out with a flat top brush. This method works great for getting that blended and super natural looking contour.
The contour stays up for a really good time and does not act funny on the skin. Some contour products bunch up, separate, cling to dry patches or at times not blend well but with this contour cushion I face no such problem. The contour cushion retails for 5.99$ and holds 7g of product which is a very good deal.
