In Detail Yves Rocher Pomme Rouge Red Apple Lip Balm Review, Swatches and My Experience

The lip balm comes in a retractable, regular, plastic stick, lipstick form. The lip balm has a subtle scent. It is hard to tell when worn on the lips. Only when you hold the lip balm up to and take a waft is when you can tell the scent.

The scent is very buttery and very low notes of sweet fruity scent, its hard to tell that its an apple scent at least I can not make out.

Its slightly tinted creamish pink in color, almost like the litchi color (of the fruit not the cover).

With the weather changing my lips has been drier than usual, and have painful cracks, with lips like this its impossible to wear lipstick.

At first I thought, this along with all the lip balms I have bought in the past is waste of my money. But within one day, it healed my bleeding, flakey painful cracks.

I have a very bad habit of picking at the flakes on my lips which sometimes end up bleeding.

Only after one day of wearing this lip balm and reapplying a few times when needed, my lips have healed completely. Like there was no crack in the middle of my lower lip. Almost like it dint bleed just 24 hours back.

The lip balm gives a slight white cast on the lips after a few minutes of applying. It feels creamy on the lips and not oily.

The balm is very moisturizing. It has shea butter and almond oil for moisture. The lip balm gives you gorgeous, slightly glossy lips not oily. I always keep this in my purse and have thrown away all the useless lips balms I had.

It does not have any taste. The lip balm stays on for about 4 hours but theres no need to reapply after 4 hours as well. Because its effect lasts for over 12 hours.

For me, Taste, Tint does not matter. What matters is, if it can do its job, And this balm definitely works .

MBF Advises

Always remember when buying a lip balm-

  1. The lesser the ingredients the better
  2. Spf is a must when going out in the sun for lips. Buy a lip balm with spf in it, your skin on the lips is as prone to sunburn as other parts of your body.
  3. The less tinted/fragrance the better, that means the lesser the chemicals.
  4. Exfoliate lips regularly.
