Colorbar, a leading cosmetic brand, has come up with 22 new shades of the Colorbar Velvet Matt Lipstick range. It is based on a 2-1 formulation, which gives your lips a matte look with a creamy finish. This 4.2g lip bullet comes in a silver coloured cylindrical retractable tube with a transparent cap. It has a warm red shade which looks best in medium and fair skin tone. It has a decent staying power of about 3-4 hours.
The active ingredients present in this lip colour are apricot oil, vitamin E and A. These natural ingredients present make it a hot favourite amongst everyone, as they soften, revitalise, and maintain moisture balance of the lips. The vitamin E is said to be a powerful antioxidant, which protect the lips from the free radicals and gives it a soft and supple look. Another eminent feature of this lipstick is that it heals your dried and chapped lips.

In Detail Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick 83 V All Fired Up 1 Review
I am pretty sure a lot of us have tried this range of lipsticks in the past. If you are some one who loves matte finish lipsticks with good pigmentation, you’re sure to fall in love with this.
It comes in this pretty classic packaging. Basically transparent plastic packaging with a silver coloured shell. The bottom has a label mentioning the shade. The surrounding transparent shows the lipstick inside. This makes it pretty easy to pick up when you have a lot of lipsticks placed upside down in your stash.
Formula and Texture
The lipstick in itself has a soft and creamy texture. It glides on pretty easily and gives a matte finish upon application. Does not really make your lips feel dry however if you do have dry lips, I would suggest using a lip balm underneath for a neat application. It does not bleed or smudge. It does not settle in fine lines. Gives a lovely smooth finish. Because it is highly pigmented, I needed 2 to 3 swipes to get the finish as shown in the picture.
Shade Colorbar All Fired up
It is a beautiful bright red shade with slight blue undertones. Because the shade does speak out loud, I would suggest putting on light make up with it. Some ladies have compared it to Mac Ruby woo, however I am not sure.
The staying power is a total hit. It stayed on me for good 5-6 hours. Does not transfer a lot. After a light meal, I did notice slight fading. When you wipe it out, it leaves a pink stain behind on the lips.
MBF Views and Recommendation
Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick 83 V All Fired Up 1 is a beautiful bright red lipstick with a creamy yet matte finish which does not really make your lips feel dry. A long wear highly pigmented lipstick, it is definitely a must have for everyone who loves to have a collection of red lipsticks. It is quite affordable I would say inspite of the fact that colorbar recently raised their prices. Easy to apply, it does not feel heavy on the lips. I would recommend you to use a lip balm underneath if you got really dry lips.
