Omorovicza Cleansing Foam Review: Let’s talk about another luxury skin care today. We have the Omorovicza cleansing foam. Omorovicza is a beauty and skin care brand from Budapest in Hungary. This brand came into limelight with a product called “Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm” which had “moor mud” as its star ingredient. But honestly, that was too expensive, yet I still wanted to try something out from this brand which had the much talked about “Hungarian thermal water“. I chose this cleanser because it seemed nice and had good reviews.

In Detail Omorovicza Cleansing Foam Review and My Experience

The Omorovicza cleansing foam comes in a sleek looking, white coloured tube packaging. It is minimalistic, yet looks very elegant. The outer box has every information about the product mentioned in two different languages – English and the other one I presume is Hungarian.

When I open the tube, I get this mild yet refreshing smell of orange blossoms. It is an added fragrance in the product, and I do not mind it. The cleansing foam has a lovely light, mousse like consistency. The texture is smooth and very workable.

How I Use it

So as the instructions say, I wet my face and then take a small amount of it and spread it on my face, gently massaging it. It does not foam too much, just enough to clean the skin properly (Foaming also depends on the hardness of water, so it might foam a little more or less at different places). It feels really nice and creamy on the skin. After gently massaging this on for about 2-4 minutes, I wash it off with normal water.

Effects

Immediately after washing, I can see how lovely this cleans my skin. Even removes last bits of any remaining makeup. This does not dry out the skin at all. Skin feels nice and plump after washing my face with this cleanser. In fact, this is so gentle, once I had this breakout on the skin, I noticed it went away quicker than my breakouts usually do. Even my friend who has super sensitive skin, she used it and she was impressed. Its super gentle on the skin and yet cleans like a boss! I don’t have to rush to moisturise my face after I’ve used this.

However, thats pretty much all about it. I mean, I really loved how this worked, but I don’t see how the price is justified for this. This cleansing balm is good but nothing unique. I mean, when I am making a purchase that expensive, I certainly expect something more. I could get the same results from a non foaming cleanser from a drugstore brand. Also, the foaming agent this has is Disodium Lauryl Sulfosuccinate which is still a surfactant like SLS, but this one is very mild and supposedly non irritating.

Having said that, I also see why someone would go and repurchase it if cost is not an issue. Because the ingredients this has are quite impressive specially for beauties who have sensitive skin. For example, it has copper gluconate which is said to detoxify and purify skin by reducing excess sebum production. Copper Gluconate is a pale blue coloured salt and that is exactly how this cleansing balm looks – a pale sky blue colour.

Second ingredient I want to mention is the Omorovicza’s Patented Healing Concentrate which they say – “Firms by boosting collagen production, and repairs by reducing cellular inflammation, revealing skin’s youthful vitality. Also, I reckon this is indeed their most expensive ingredient in the product. “

Overall Verdict

I feel like I love this product but it isn’t something that I haven’t seen or tried before. Its like having a fancy cut fruit in a Michelin star restaurant when you can eat the same thing in a normal place. I agree, its amazing for sensitive skin ladies for it cleanses amazing without leaving skin dry at all. But haven’t we all tried something similar from a decent drugstore brand before? I love it, but I don’t think I am ready to spend so much to repurchase it.

MBF Advises

  1. If you’re into luxury beauty, you are going to absolutely love this cleanser. It does nothing fancy, and yet is sure to impress you with how it works. Super gentle and yet effective. Even removes remaining traces of makeup.
  2. If you’re like me, and you like to save money, try getting the smaller sized one specially during the sale season like I did and I got 30% discount. Even on regular days, their website readily offers a 15% discount on a direct purchase.
  3. Still, this product is nothing too extraordinary. So if you’re happy with the cleanser you’re using, there is no need to save up extra for it. It does what a normal non foaming or non drying cleanser would so but this cleanser comes with a tag of a luxury brand.
  4. If you have active acne or acne flare up, wait till the acne is settled or calms down before trying out absolutely any new product.
