Bath & Body Works Patchouli Rosewood 3 Wick Candle Review: Hey guys, so Bath & Body Works just launched their Diwali Special 3 Wick Candle for 2022. I am really into scented candles. This year’s special edition for Diwali is the Patchouli + Rosewood Candle. This particular scent as a candle was available in the USA sometime back, and I saw some absolutely fantastic reviews about it. So as soon as I saw this coming out for this year’s festive season, I didn’t spend another second and ordered in as soon as possible.

In Detail Bath & Body Works Patchouli Rosewood 3 Wick Candle Review and My Experience

Bath & Body Works Patchouli & Rosewood Candle (Special Diwali Edition) comes in the lovely packaging. Its still the standard BBW transparent glass jar with a bronze-gold lid. But the labels give it that festive vibe. There’s like lots of rangoli artwork with a central golden circle where the name of the candle is printed.

The quality of the candle I feel is decent. The wax is good quality and if you know candles, you can just tell by touching it. Its a good quality soy wood.

What does Bath & Body Works Patchouli Rosewood Candle smell like?

Now as I opened the lid of the candle, I get this lovely rose scent with earthy tones. Some woody noted from the patchouli. These woody notes kind of work in the background and let the rose like smell from the rosewood shine. (Remember, patchouli does not really have a floral smell, it smells more earthy and exotic in reality. Rosewood used in perfumes actually has a smell very similar smell to real roses.)

The pink pepper actually makes an appearance, but ever so slightly. One may actually miss it if you haven’t smelled them before. If I were to describe the scent of Bath & Body Works Patchouli Rosewood candle in one phrase – Its woody rose with earthy elements, a charming scent for the festival like Diwali.

Now when I burn this candle, the wicks do burn evenly. It takes about 5-7 minutes to notice the smell when you light the candle and sit down at a distance. I usually burn it in my hall, and the scent starts filling the room in about 10 minutes. It just lingers on and omg its amazing. I mean I am a fan of rose scents, and this is just another level. Woody roses, the best combination for my olfactory nerves.

The scent isn’t super strong though, but if you burn it in a small closed room, it might seem like a little bit much. So make sure your windows are open if you really want to enjoy the soft floral rose in the air.

Fragrances are a matter of personal preference and therefore, I try to provide a description as accurate as I can. So if you feel like it, you may order these online. But the best thing to do always is to actually get these candles in store, where you can actually smell them before making a purchase. However, in some places like India, we do not have a lot of BBW stores, so for a lot of us, the only option is to buy them online. Hence, always read a few reviews before making a purchase decision.

I definitely will be burning this on Diwali night and I hope my extended family enjoys the fragrance as much as we do. Finally, I hope everyone reading this has a lovely time this holiday season, may you have lots of love in your life and someone to love unconditionally.

MBF Advises

  1. Please get a candle lighter and wick trimmer, they will make your life so much easier if you’re really into candles.
  2. Try getting a good deal on these, compare across 2-3 different online retailers.
  3. Always make sure you light the candle at a place where kids cannot reach them (I am specially mentioning this because my 2 little sweethearts love everything I love, so its natural for kids to try to explore different things, so we just need to be careful.)
