Bath & Body Works Christmas Cider 3 Wick Candle Review: Hey guys, so I can almost smell Christmas. I am a Hindu btw and yet I love Christmas because I went to a catholic convent school and we celebrated Christmas like it was the best day God created. So year after year, that has kind of stayed with me and I feel weird if I do not celebrate Christmas now.
Moreover, over the years, my philosophy in life has changed a little. I believe, that we must grab every single reason to celebrate and enjoy. I do not believe in boundaries of religion and I literally celebrate every festival irrespective of where it is coming from. I try to do all basic rituals and things that I can do. And when we speak of Christmas, I mean come on, its literally the most wonderful time of the year. Who does not want to celebrate Christmas!!

In Detail Bath & Body Works Christmas Cider 3 Wick Candle Review and My Experience
So as I was saying, I love Christmas. I used to dress up my little brother as Santa Claus back in the day but well he’s old enough to have his own kids now so I let him be. Now, there are enough Santa Clauses in malls and shopping centres anyway. For me, I need to have the vibes going on for every festival. For example for Diwali, I go all in and decorate every corner of my house with rangoli, lights and flowers.
I am someone who relates to scents very strongly. So, obviously, I have an enormous collection of Scents. I also discovered Bath and Body Works Candles a few years ago and now you know why there is a cabinet in my house that is a total No-No zone for my kids. I go gaga with these candles and I have loads of them. And yet, I keep discovering new ones that I love and purchase them.
So this time, I got my hands on another Christmas special candle by Bath and Body Works called “Christmas Cider”. For those of you, who don’t know, Christmas Cider is a specially prepared, very spicy drink. Almost like “Masala Chai (Tea)” sans the milk. Spices are supposed to make you feel warm and, actually I relate it to the “Kadha” (A spicy concoction) my mom used to make in winter season.
The Bath & Body Works Christmas Cider 3 Wick Candle comes in a beautiful packaging. It looks super festive with Golden Christmas tree laden with snow, white and gold stars, snow, all in a vintage faintly square patterned red coloured background. There is a little (what I believe) squirrel, with its cute pink jacket and hat sitting on a tree stump. The candle cap is of golden colour. Like I said, I adore the packaging!
But, one thing I noticed is, no where on the packaging have they mentioned the words “Bath & Body Works”. We definitely know its a BBW candle, but if someone doesn’t know, that guy sure will be confused because it says “Christmas Cider”, “White Barn” etcetera. But it nowhere mentions the actual brand name. Trust me, I even checked the labels as well as the outer carton box packaging.
What does Bath & Body Works Christmas Cider Candle Smells Like?
Moving on, let’s talk about the smell of the candle. Before I begin, let me tell you, after using candles non stop for years, I have realised that I am not a big fan of cinnamon or very spicy smelling candles. And yet, I buy them! Because the curiosity kills me and in the back of my mind, I am actually hoping that one day I find a spicy candle that I actually love.
So when you first smell Christmas Cider Candle by BBW, it will hit you with spiciness dominated by cinnamon (and cloves too). There is a background of apples but it is not at all sweet. It is basically a very spicy smelling candle sans any sweetness from the fruit and yet you know there is a note of apple fruit in it.
If you have used “‘Tis the Season” by Bath and Body Works, this one smells similar but Christmas cider is a little more spicy. The former is a little bit more warm and inviting I feel.
Speaking of the performance, well the candle burns well. The fragrance easily spreads around the room within 5 minutes. It is actually able to fill the entire apartment with the fragrance within 15 minutes. And if you love cinnamon-apple smells, you are actually going to love this. It smells like spicy Christmas times, without being overpowering.
