My Experience – The Body Shop Madagascan Vanilla Flower Perfume Oil Review

This scent basically belongs to their “scents of the world” collection. They came up with it almost more than an year back. Well I had actually purchased it last year and kind of rediscovered my love for it. Perfume oils are supposed to be used directly on your skin that is your pulse points and neck. These follow the concept that perfume stays on longer on a moisturised skin. They combined perfume and oil to make it extra long lasting.

This comes in a nice little stout bottle which is transparent and looks super cute. The cap has got a little wand attached to it on the inside which actually dips into the product. The distal end of the wand is kind of flattened which makes the application part easier.

I like to wear this usually during the day. It is a very feminine sophisticated vanilla scent. Now when I say vanilla, please do not imagine a vanilla cake or an ice cream. This vanilla is more musky amber vanilla. The sweetest vanilla scent you can imagine. This has notes of amber and vanilla flower in it which make it different from other vanilla perfumes.

What I really love about this fragrance is the staying power. It stays on me very well for 5-6 hours. It does not change or evolve into any other fragrance. It basically smells the same however there is a gradual fading and slowly after 2-3 hours, amber starts taking the lead.

For me, this is one of those scents which always deserve a place in my vanity. Plus because it is such a tiny bottle, It is very easy for me to carry it around in my bag. If you are wondering about it being greasy or staining your clothes, you really do not need to. This gets absorbed into my skin within 15 seconds and does not feel greasy at all. Plus it does not stain the clothes. This baby only draws compliments and makes you feel like a lady all day long 🙂
