In Detail Essence Lipstick Glamour Queen 31 Review and My Experience

Packaging

The lipstick comes in a brown coloured packaging which is very similar to the lipstick bullet inside. The shade name and number sticker is on one end. The shell is transparent however the cup is made of a white coloured plastic. The lipstick cap closes with a click so its safe to travel with.

Texture and Formula

The lipstick has a lovely buttery/creamy texture with a super moisturising formula. It glides on very easily on the lips and feels pretty light. The formula is so amazing that it actually heals dry and chapped lips.

Essence Lipstick Glamour Queen 31 shade and pigmentation

Speaking of this beauty in particular, I would describe the shade of the lipstick as a lovely MLBB (my lips but better) nude shade. It is basically light brown combined to slightly mauve hints with pink undertones and a significant amount of shimmers. The shimmers provide the frostiness to the lipstick. The frostiness is quite noticeable from near. At a slight distance, the lipstick gives a very nice sheen on the lips. This is the reason why this is one of those lipsticks, which one can wear with a variety of outfits and makeup. Specially if you like shiny/glossy looking lips, this is going to be the one to consider. This shade of lipstick would suit almost all skin tones very nicely. The pigmentation is okay. To get moderate opaqueness I need to swipe it 2 to 3 times at least.

Staying Power

The staying power of the lipstick is not very long. It is somewhere between 2.5 to 3 hours. When it fades, the shimmers kind of still remain settled on the lips, so one has to use a makeup remover to effectively take out all the shimmers. Basically if I am wearing this outside, I need to touch up every couple of hours or so.

MBF Recommendations

This is a very lovely nudish MLBB shade with a lovely frostiness to it giving a sweet sheen to the lips. It is pretty inexpensive which give it a big thumbs up. Though I understand essence products are not easily available in India, but if you do get a chance to try it, do swatch this one for yourself and see. I have attached lip swatch snaps under different light conditions to give you guys a better idea.
