The moment I swatched the testers at Lakme counter, I bought this lipstick. I am mostly into nudes, reds and pink coloured lipsticks but this time I wanted to try some coral. In Detail Lakme Absolute Sculpt Matte Lipstick Coral Flare Review, Swatches and My Experience

Lakme absolute hi- definition sculpt matte lipsticks come in a grey cardboard outer packaging. It looks very luxurious though. The packaging has details about the lipstick but unfortunately no ingredients are mentioned on it. There is a sleek beautiful lipstick tube inside this packaging. The lid of the lipstick is transparent. So it’s easy to identify the shade from outside. The packaging of the lipstick is very sleek. The best part about the packaging is that the cap of the lipstick is tight it opens with a click as well as closes with the click. In fact you can hear a click when you twist it up and twist it down all the way in. So overall a travel friendly lipstick.(yay). Really impressed with the packaging.

Now coming on to the shade selection they have about 15 shades to offer in this collection from pinks to reds to coral. You can have a look at 6 of the shades in the Lakme Absolute Sculpt Studio HD Matte Lipstick on MBF Blog. I feel like they should have included more neutrals in the collection. Overall I like the shade selection.

The shade Coral Flare is absolutely amazing. Although the name is coral flare but the shade is not exactly coral. It is a bright orange colour which has a bit of red undertones to it. The lipstick has no shimmer to it. I was skeptical initially because mostly lakme adds shimmer in all its lipsticks. But I am so glad that they did not add those chunky shimmer in this lipstick. I absolutely love the shade. As soon as I apply this shade it completely brightens up my complexion. One can keep their makeup light while using this lipstick shade. This particular shade is neither to loud nor too subtle.

The texture of the lipstick is to die for. It just goes creamy on the lips and gives matte finish. Hence, it feels like you have applied butter on the lips. The lipstick gives perfect moisturisation. It’s a non drying matte lipstick. If your lips are dry and applying matte lipstick makes it feel more dry, then you can definitely check this range of lipstick.

The shade is very pigmented, in one swipe we get fully opaque coverage on the lips. In fact, even after applying multiple layers of this lip shade, it doesn’t feel heavy or tacky. The lakme absolute sculpt matte lipstick stays on my lips for good 5-6 hours after that it starts fading. There is absolute no cracky feeling or drying feeling on my lips when I apply this lipstick. I must say that lakme has really impressed me with this lipstick.

1) If your lips are dry, apply lip balm underneath your lipstick. Thereafter apply the lipstick.
2) In order to increase the staying power of the lipstick, apply a lip primer first, fill your lips with a similar shade lip pencil and then apply the lipstick.
3) To make the lipstick look glossy on your lips, apply a transparent lipgloss on top of it.
