In Detail Lakme Absolute Limited Edition Matte Lipstick Mauve On Review, Swatches and My Experience

This Lakme Matte Lipstick comes housed in a very funky and girly rectangular cardboard box which has a girl graphic print on it. Frankly speaking, whenI saw the packaging lying on the counter, it attracted me and I went there.

The actual lipstick has a very shiny metallic brown color case where brand name and range name printed. Shade name and number is glued at the bottom of the lipstick case.

It has a shut lock cap which closes with a click hence this lipstick is travel friendly. Overall I loved it’s packaging it’s fun looks luxe and is very sturdy and stiff.

The lipstick has a faint fruity scent to it which disappears within a second of application and hence its not bothersome for sensitive noses.

These lipsticks come in 12 shades consisting of reds, pinks. corals and neutrals. I picked two shades from them which I feel are nice and will look good onn my complexion.

All the shades are quite average and can be found in any drugstore brands easily. In fact, none of the shades I felt were unique in this range. The shade I am reviewing today is named as Muave On.

Muave on is a very beautiful mauvey pink color which is the perfect n*de for my nc42 skin tone. It has a cool undertones so might wash out dark skinned girls. It is an everyday wear color and looks amazing if worn on daytime.

It instantly brightens my complexion and adds a touch of color without looking too harsh.

The texture of this lipstick is same as their Matte lipstick from Absolute range. It has a semi matte finish and glides on my lips very beautifully and does not pull or tugs my lips while applying.

The pigmentation of the lipsticks is amazing. In just 2 to 3 swipes it covers the pigmentation of my lips perfectly. The lipstick pigmentation is also buildable. One swipe is good for regular wear. But if you want a longer stay, multiple swipes are required.

These do not move from the lips and hence lip liner is totally optional. I love how smoothly it glides on the lips and gives a velvet matte finish to the lips.

The staying power of this lipstick is around 4-5 hours after which it starts to fade away. It survives through small snacking, but would need touch up after a meal.

Also, it transfers a little bit on to cups and cutlery. It is in no way waterproof or transfer proof and can be easily wiped off with water, even if a single swipe was used.

Also to increase the staying power of the lipstick apply lip liner beneath.
