I am back with another review and this time I am reviewing a lipstick from Lakme called Lakme 9 to 5 Primer plus matte lipstick in the shade red letter. Its been quite a while since this range has launched. In fact, I had not purchased any single shade from this range, I don’t know why!

I spotted this lipstick at Lakme outlet while I was shopping at mall and this particular shade caught my attention. Therefore, I went there any purchased it without any second thought.

How To Use Lakme Red Letter 9 To 5 Lakme Primer Plus Matte Lipstick

1. Step 1: Create a cross on your cupid’s bow.
2. Step 2: Start applying from the centre of your upper lip.
3. Step 3: Work from the centre towards the outer edges of your lip, following the contours of your mouth.
4. Step 4: Glide across the entire bottom lip.

In Detail Lakme Red Letter 9 To 5 Primer + Matte Lipstick Review, Swatches and My Experience

The Lakme Primer Plus Matte Lipstick comes packed in a peachy kinda colored rectangular cardboard box with all the information related to the lipstick printed on it.

The actual lipstick comes in a beautiful metallic rose gold colored round case with lakme primer plus matte printed on it in black which looks really beautiful, and shade name and number is printed on the bottom.

It has a shut lock open cap which closes with a click which ensures that the lipstick is travel friendly. Overall I really loved the packaging of this lipsticks they look cute and luxurious at the same time.

These lipsticks comes in a total of 40 shades which is very impressive, the shade I am reviewing today is named as Red Letter.

The shade red letter is a very beautiful red color with a hint of orange in it. I really love and adore this shade and I am currently loving using this shade the most.

If you are a person who wants orange shade but stark orange does not suit you, than you should definitely try this. It will suit all complexion girls but if you are above NC 42 it might wash you out.

The texture of this lipstick is amazing it has a very creamy texture and glides on my lips effortlessly. It has added in built primer which is said to conceal fine lines on lips.

This is true you all can clearly see in my swatch pictures how beautiful it looks and has not settled in my fine lines and my fine lines are less visible. It glides on my lips like butter without tugging or pulling it which I like.

The finish it provides is matte but not extremely matte. It has a very comfort matte kinda finish. But if you have extremely dry flaky lips than application of a good lip balm is necessary prior using this lipstick.

It does transfers a bit which is not an issue as all lipstick in a bullet form do transfer so I am not complaining about it.

The pigmentation of this lipstick is to die for. Oh My god these lipsticks are extremely pigmented. I just swipe it once without any pressure and the color payoff was bang on. It provides a very opaque finish in just one single swipe. It covers all my lip pigmentation amazingly well.

It stayed on my lips for about 5 hours without heavy meal, but if you will eat something really oily it will fade off a bit and will get completely removed off from centre of your lips which looks very bad and weird. It stained my lips really badly which was little hard and time consuming for me to remove it.

1. I recommend using a lip balm underneath before applying this lipstick.
2. Lining the lips with a lip liner would definitely help achieve a fuller look.
