In Detail Lakme Absolute Precision Liquid Liner Review, Swatches and My Experience
It is always advised for girls new to liquid liner to start with felt tip liners. I was the one who started it other way round. I learnt liquid liner ever since I was in school and I am quite comfortable with that. The only issue is it takes a lot of time to get apply, specially to make both eyes look symmetrical. But when I saw my sister using sketch pen liner, I thought of giving it a try.
And what’s better than to start with the most trusted brand – Lakmé. I went and purchased my first pen eye liner -Lakmé Absolute Precision Liquid Liner. I was little skeptical with this one as there is no ingredients list. But since it says ophthalmologically tested, I went ahead and purchased it. The packaging is very simple and similar to that of a marker pen we used in our childhood. The cap closes with a click which makes sure it won’t open by itself. It can be stored easily anywhere, but I prefer storing is upside down (tip side at the bottom) as we did with our sketch pens. I just noticed it written on the pen as well. Also there is expiry date mentioned on the pen but I guess it won’t last till its expiry date. The quantity provided is very less, only 1.2 ml.
I must say I am impressed how easy it is to use this compared to liquid eye liners. It goes very smoothly on eyes as a liner and below waterline. Single swipe of product looks greyer. After multiple swipes only we are able to achieve its true black colour. I particularly like the fact that with this I was able to achieve smooth lines as well as the pointed winged liner effect.
The finish is glossy. Matte loving ladies will not really like this fact. But for me it’s perfect as I like my eyes to be shiny. The liner is definitely smudge proof. Once it dries, it is going to stay there till you remove it. I wear my liner for almost entire day, and sometimes I unknowingly rub my eyes. Being completely smudge proof, it’s like a boon for me. Also like other liquid liners, it doesn’t feel heavy on eyes. It feels completely weightless. A thick layer of this liner will surely make the eyes pop up.
I wear contact lenses, so choosing my kohl and eyeliner is a big task for me. After having used this liner multiple times, till now never faced any issues. At times I even apply it on my water line, but I feel it wears off from there very easily. Also, one has to be very careful to not let the tip touch the cornea; else the colour will flow in the eyes (happened once with me).
The product claims to be waterproof. I must say it wears off after few minutes being in water or if rubbed when wet. The claim is completely false. But this makes it easier to remove the product and we don’t have to use harsh chemicals in remover every time. Also I feel after 4-5 hours of application, the product becomes light. More like deep grey from black. May be it is because I rub my eyes but it does become lighter.
Overall this is a decent product for daily use.

Will I buy Again?
Not really. I like jet black color. I might to for other brands having felt tip liner.
1. First create an outline and then fill in carefully.
2. For thicker lines, tilt the pen a little and use.
3. For thinner lines use the point of the tip.
