In Detail Lorac Behind the Scenes Eye Primer Review, Swatches, Demo and My Experience
So I got this primer when I bought the Lorac Pro 2 palette. I really didn’t know what to expect as I hadn’t read up about it. Usually I research and research and research before buying anything. Online shopping can be super tricky and deceptive! So I went into this blind.
I must say I was quite impressed! This primer worked out quite decently for me. Better than a lot of other really popular primers. My only issue is that there is no color in it. It’s completely transparent so blends into the skin. I like my primers to have a bit of coverage. But it performs well so I can look past some small details!
That being said, it doesn’t mean that it doesn’t crease at all! It just takes longer to crease then other primers on my eyes. The key is to use a little bit. Too much primer always means creasing. So I think this primer is a winner in my book!
Here’s a look I did along with a wear test!
Product Squeeze out
Primer Blended out
Blended into the skin
Shadow with (top) and without (bottom) primer
Bare eye with primer
Eye look
After 5-6 hours of wear and some eye rubbing
Lasted decently with minimal creasing! Color is mostly faded because I accidentally rubbed my eye twice.
Pros of Lorac Behind the Scenes Eye Primer
1. Makes shadows last longer
2. Small easy to travel with tube
3. No sanitation issues as it’s a tube and no applicator involved
4. Colorless so can work on any skin tone
Cons Lorac Behind the Scenes Eye Primer
1. Colorless so doesn’t offer any sort of coverage
2. Pricey
MBF Advises
Use a tiny amount at a time. Large amounts of primer result in creasing
Always set with a skin tone or off white colored shadow!

I find that I actually quite enjoy this primer. I’m really glad I got it with the palette so it gave me a chance to try it out. If you have hopelessly oily eyelids like mine, I would recommend giving this a try! It has amazing lasting power. I will have to further test it in the hotter months though!
Hope this review was helpful! Feel free to ask any further questions. Have you tried this product? Let me know your thoughts!
Have a great day beautiful <3
I don’t think I heard anybody else talk about this primer before, but what caught my eye is how much brighter it made the eyeshadow swatch on your arm compared to swatching without a primer under!
I don’t have oily eyelids and I forget to use an eyeshadow primer 90% of the time but if I ever come across this one at least I’ll know it’s not bad 😀
