MAC Soiree Nail Lacquer Review, Swatches: Hey there, gorgeous girls! We have just laid our hands on a M.A.C Nail Lacquer and we are going to give you the low-down on the gorgeous shade, which is called ‘Soiree’. True to its name, it is right for any day or night summer soiree. The best thing – it goes very well even with a tan, so I’m sporting it on my tips and toes this week.

In Detail MAC Soiree Nail Lacquer Review, Swatches and My Experience
M.A.C’s Soiree Nail Lacquer can be described as a “sparkly light bronze gold [with a Pearl finish].” It is one of the 31 gorgeous new shades of M.A.C nail lacquers – a light-medium, warm-toned peachy beige with fine specks of metallic shimmer. It had opaque colour in a single coat – but for good measure, two coats are recommended. The consistency is slightly thick but manageable without any lumping on application. It dried down rather quickly to a shiny finish. There were very slightly visible brush strokes, but only from certain angles.
Soiree is a bright, light bronze metallic-frost with flecks of copper shimmer-glitter. It has a frost finish, and also a bit metallic. This is really pigmented – swatches in the accompanying pictures are shown with just one coat–and really easy to work with. It dries down quicker than most MAC polishes. It initially reminded me of Dior’s Timeless Gold, but it’s nowhere near it – warmer, darker, bronzer.
The pinkish undertones complement Indian skin tones really well. Some people might find it frosty, but to me it’s more of a foil finish. I love rose gold and rose coppery colours and I really like this one a lot.
How I Use it
I usually apply a single coat and yet am quite happy with the colour I get. If I use it as an accent shade on my ring finger – paired with a dark burgundy or plum shade, then I apply two coats.
Effects
The formula of Soirée is divine. It applies smoothly and is an almost one coater if you apply a thicker coat. Soirée is a sparkly bronze copper foiled nail polish – you also could call it a rose gold. I love that if you look close the silver foil glitter on the top which is less covered by the base colour makes it look as if the foil glitter is two-coloured. It gives the foiled or glittery look more depth – giving it the impression of being metallic, but not in your face.
Pros of MAC Soiree Nail Lacquer
- Ease of application – the flat brush makes you cover a lot more surface area per swipe, and it’s easier to create nice sharp edges.
- Longevity – been wearing it for a week with absolutely no chipping – despite only a single coat!
- Great pigmentation
Cons of MAC Soiree Nail Lacquer
- Takes some effort to fully get rid of glitter when removing the polish – but not as much as most other glittery nail polishes.
MBF Advises
M.A.C’s Nail Lacquer in Soiree is festive and celebratory. Use M.A.C’s Soiree on its own or create interesting nail art using it! It can also be used as an accent colour with a solid colour – like burgundy, black or navy.
