Its their Lip paints which come in a tube packaging. So far, there are 14 shades available in the USA. However in India, we have only 8 shades available.

Out of these 8, 6 shades are matte whereas remaining 2 are “Lacquers” that have glossy finish. We will swatch all of these and also go through a mini review about them. Loreal Infallible Lip Paints come in tube packaging. The tubes are actually colour coded. Therefore, its super easy for you to spot the shade you’re looking for. Another unique thing about this range is, these lip paints or liquid lipsticks come in 2 finishes. One is matte finish, whereas the other is lacquer or glossy finish. So far, we have a total of 8 shades launched in India as well as a few other countries. Out of these, 6 shades are in matte finish. The other remaining 2 shades have a glossy finish.

The applicator wand is a fluffy doe foot one. Its slightly chubby with a flat slanting tip. Therefore it is able to pick up a good amount of product in a single dip. Also, these lipsticks do have that classic loreal fruit-fragrance to them. The fragrance actually isn’t too strong and won’t be a trouble because it does vanish away soon.

Formula, Texture, Pigmentation

The formula of these lipsticks is smooth yet I find them thicker in consistency as compared to most liquid lipsticks in the market. They definitely feel super creamy on the lips. Because of this, they are a tiny bit tacky – not bothersome though. Loreal Lip Paints are super pigmented. Hence they offer a great colour pay off even on a single swipe. Therefore it is definitely a full coverage formula.

Mattes

Hollywood Beige 201– This is a light beige with pink undertones. Hence, it would suit beauties with pale or fair complexions.
King Pink 202– A bright barbie pink shade. A lovely shade to flaunt if you’re into bright pinks.
Tangerine Vertigo 203– A super warm toned orange shade. This orange basically will suit every skin tone out there.
Red Actually 204 – A bright medium red shade. The statement red shade of Loreal’s infallible liquid lipsticks collection.
Apocalyps Red 205 – A medium deep burgundy red shade. Its a super gorgeous fall shade.
Wuthering Purple 207 – A true purple shade. If you’ve been looking for a pure purple liquid lipstick, your search probably ends here.

Lacquers

Gone with N*de 101 – A warm toned beige shade. This one is pretty much a super pigmented n*ude lip gloss.
Darling Pink 102 – This is a beautiful cream-glossy finish peachy pink shade. Will suit all beauties with fair to medium skin tones.

Finish, Wearability, Staying Power

The lacquers or the glossy liquid lipsticks are definitely glossy. They are like a highly pigmented lip gloss I feel. But, the surprising part is, even the matte ones are actually not matte. The matte ones actually feel like intensely pigmented lip creams instead of matte liquid lipsticks. Because of their creamy or glossy nature, they feel very moisturising on the lips. Also, there is a slight tackiness to them. However, its quite mild and isn’t something to worry about if you don’t pucker or smack your lips together a lot.

I notice that these loreal infallible lip paints do transfer on objects while eating or drinking. Also, with oily food substances, they tend to dissolve off even sooner. So you would need to touch up in case you decide to have a meal. However, with light snacks, the intensity of the lipstick does not change much. On an average, the matte ones last on my lips for 4 hours. The lacquers or glossy ones have a stay time of 3 hours. This wear time can further be increased if you do not smack your lips a lot.

Overall Verdict

I feel loreal infallible lip paints liquid lipsticks have a tremendous creamy formula. Although I do not agree with the “matte” claim, I have to say they are super comfortable on the lips. In fact, I would specially recommend this to you if you’re someone who struggles with dry lips. Because the formula is such that it does not let the lips get dry at all. Also, the formula is such that the colour does not flow or get smudged outside the lip lines on its own. Hence ooverall, these liquid lipsticks are a great launch by Loreal Paris. The only shortcoming being that the “mattes” aren’t actually mattes. They have a more creamy finish on the lips.

1. Mattes are not actually mattes. In fact, they have a creamy finish.

3. I wish they launch the complete range of shades like they did in the USA as well as UK. I do not understand why they launch only a limited number of shades in a country with a vast variety of skin tones.

MBF Advises

1. Make sure to apply a thin even layer of this lipstick on the lips. Because of their creamy or glossy formula, if you apply too much, they will look caky or tacky.
2. These lipsticks do come off pretty easily even without a standard makeup remover. Hence, an average makeup remover wipe is enough to take them off.
3. If you’ve purchased these and are now disappointed that they aren’t matte, don’t worry. Take a tissue paper, hold it against the lips (when the lipstick is on) and with a fluffy brush, powder some loose translucent powder on top. This will turn your creamy lipstick into a matte lipstick.
4. Do not pick up a lot of product on the applicator otherwise the margins may not be too precise or sharp.
