In the meanwhile, we decided to do a swatch post because we thought it would be super helpful for everyone. The abbreviations used in numbering the lipsticks above are decoded as follows

PM = Pink Matte
RM = Red Matte
OM = Orange Matte
WM = Wine Matte
BM = Brown Matte

So by the number of the lipstick itself, we kind of get an idea about the shade of the lipstick. For example, RM is going to be a red shade in a matte finish, OM is going to be an orange shade in matte finish and so forth. We are quite happy with the range of shades in the enrich matte collection. There is a shade for everybody in here. There are Pinks, Reds, Wines, Browns and Orange shades.

All New Lakme Enrich Matte Lipsticks 20 Shades Review, Swatches – Details

These lipsticks come in the exact same packaging as their satin ancestor – Lakme Enrich Satin Lipsticks. It looks silver and metallic with a transparent shell, but the body is actually made of plastic which makes it very light weight. Basic details about the product is mentioned on the outer packaging of the product however an ingredient list is missing.

Now the real surprising thing about these lipsticks is, all of them individually have a some what different texture. There is a lack of uniformity when it comes to the texture in these lipsticks. Some of them give a beautiful matte finish while others may give a more satiny finish. Also some of them turned out to be streaky or drying. We have tried to summarise the texture of the individual shades below in a couple of words.

Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick PM 10 – Proper true matte finish.
Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick PM 11 – smooth, creamy texture. Semi matte.
Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick PM 12 – not very creamy, tugs on the lips.
Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick PM 13 – satiny, slightly streaky.
Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick PM 14 – satiny, slippery texture.
Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick PM 15 – creamy texture with semi matte finish.
Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick RM 10 – feels streaky, not so even finish on the lips.
Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick RM 11 – creamy texture, a little streaky, semi matte finish.
Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick RM 12 – feels slippery, has semi matte finish.
Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick RM 13 – creamy texture, semi matte finish.

Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick OM 12 – does not apply evenly. Dry patches enhanced.

Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick BM 10 – creamy texture, semi matte, slightly drying.
Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick BM 11 – applies easily, pigmented, semi matte.
Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick BM 12 – streaky on application, uneven finish.

These lipsticks are not completely matte. They are mostly semi matte. None of them are super or powdery matte in finish. Also, the darker shades leave a deep stain on the lips. It takes good effort with a makeup remover to get rid of the stains on the lips.

Overall this is a great launch for matte lipsticks in budget. There are a variety of shades to choose from, so definitely a plus point. We really wish Lakme had done something more since they did increase the price of these enrich matte lipsticks to Rs. 295/- as compared to their enrich satin lipsticks which retail at Rs. 260/- only.

If you are looking for a budget friendly matte lipsticks, lakme enrich mattes are going to work pretty well. 🙂
