So, today, I will be sharing my review about this mousse foundation from the house of Maybelline New York. I love love love it to the core because, it is very kind on my oily skin and keeps the greasiness away like magic. Maybelline is an all time favourite amongst girls because they have some good quality products in lots of different shades at affordable prices. I hope, I have got you all excited about the product! How to use Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation

Maybelline New York Dream Matte Mousse Foundation shade Nude Light 4 has to be used after cleansing, toning and hydrating your face with a mild, moisturising lotion. Unlike liquid foundations, which can be used with foundation brushes or sponges, this one is best applied with the help of finger pads.

Please wash your hands with a disinfectant, liquid soap prior to dipping your fingers in the jar of this product. You must always maintain hygiene while handling such products. This is important to keep the acne at a bay.

In Detail Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation Review, Swatches and My Experience

Okay, I will start with the packaging. The foundation pot is made up of glass. The pot does not seem too brittle. However, I would still dare not drop it. The cap is made up of plastic and closes on rotating. The product name and shade number etc are printed on the cap. There is a sticker on the bottom of the product which mentions all the ingredients present in this mousse.

The texture is soft and granular. You need to gently spread the product to cover all the areas of your face and neck. The granules melt as they are spread across the skin and settle with an ultra-light, air-brush like finish. It looks matte once fully set. Maybelline New York Dream Matte Mousse Foundation gives good coverage to hide all the patchiness and acne on my face. The Redness of the acne is masked beautifully, though, the eruptions are still visible, obviously!

The shade that looks the most natural on my skin is N*de (Light 4). There are other shades available in this mousse, as well to cater to other skin tones.

How I Use Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation

Simply pick a dollop of product and dispense it on the back of your hand. Now, use the tips of your fingers to apply multiple dots of your products covering all the areas of your face. This mousse can be easily spread onto skin by gentle, swiping strokes. The best part is, even somebody who is new to the world of makeup can use this product comfortably. You may totally skip setting this product with a translucent powder as the texture of this foundation itself is light and powdery.

Overall

Being an oily skinned girl, I fell in love with the texture of this product from the very first time I used it on my face. It helps create a natural veil with moderately good coverage on your skin. If set wit a compact, the coverage would improve further. Staying power is easily around 4 to 5 hours, in an air-conditioned or sweat free environment. The product is not waterproof so, you do need to check, just in case you are in a humid place. It has a mild smell and does not cause any pore clogging or pimples.
