In Detail The Body Shop Ginger Anti Dandruff Shampoo Review, Swatches and My Experience

The Body Shop Ginger Anti-Dandruff Shampoo comes in a brown colored bottle with a translucent flip-open cap. The bottle is sturdy and leak proof. There is nothing fancy about the bottle; it is the usual fat TBS signature bottle. The 400 ml bottle is a little big to be carried along. You can take the 250 ml version along easily.

The fragrance of the shampoo is very different and it has to be since it contains the wonder ingredient ginger. The smell is primarily that of ginger but at the same time it is sweet and subtle. I am not sure if everyone will like the smell. So, please go through a sniff test before buying it.

The Shampoo is colorless and has a gel based formula which has a very runny consistency. You don’t even need to squeeze the bottle, the shampoo just pours.It spreads easily on the hair and forms rich lather in very less quantity.

I do not have severe dandruff problem but I keep getting it on and off. So, I have used various other anti dandruff shampoos but since I am a TBS fan and ginger in a shampoo looked promising so, I had to try this.

Does it work?

I have seen a difference in my dandruff. It reduced visibly after a few washes. I use my regular shampoo normally and once a week I switch to this one to keep dandruff at bay. It does a good job in managing my dandruff.

The formula is lightweight and mild but still causes dryness in the hair. The shampoo contains SLS and that’s the main factor behind the dryness. You will have to use a conditioner to combat it.

They do not have a conditioner from the same range which is a little disappointing. Apart from this it leaves hair squeaky clean and the scalp refreshed.

Overall it’s a good anti dandruff shampoo. Works on my mild dandruff problem but I cannot comment about its performance on severe dandruff.It is good for oily hair people but dry hair beauties will have tough time.
