Have you ever seen a packaging so cute before? The glistening pink ball calls out to me 😀 It is actually a small tub. When you unscrew it, it opens near the middle. It has a protective plastic lid inside which says “Its all good”. I love how cute yet thoughtful the packaging is. There is hard paper base which serves dual purpose. One, it supports the ball structure of the product. Second it also has all the product information mentioned at the back. I honestly cannot say enough good things about the packaging.

When you open the lid, you will see a glistening light peachy pink product. The texture is like a very soft cream. It has a very sweet smell to it, something like a strawberry smoothie with some floral notes to it. In general, I have observed that TIGI products always have a great smell to them. As I review more TIGI products in the coming days, you will know what I am talking about. 🙂

Why does the product say “Smart stuff for Dumb Blondes”?

Is it meant for only blondes? No. The product can actually be used by all hair colours. If you look closely, you will notice that the product actually has these iridescent shimmer like glistening component in it. This is supposed to prevent blonde or light hair colours from getting brassy. Also, this is responsible for adding an extra dimension of shine to even the most dull hair types.

How I Use it

I use it after shower when my hair is properly dry. I take almost a pea sized amount on my finger. Then I spread the product on my palms evenly. My hair length is 3 inches above my belly button, so this much product works for me. You can adjust the amount of product you need based on your hair length as well as need. Then I spread the product evenly on the lengths of my hair. I only use the product on the hair lengths from my ear downwards. Never apply this on the scalp or roots. Then, whatever product is left in my palms, I lightly touch near my hair line to tame some frizz and baby hairs.

Effects

The product never feels sticky. It actually makes the hair feel very soft and silky. My hair feels more smooth. Also, there is an added shine which looks amazing. The product effectively controls my hair frizz without weighing down the hair. In fact, it almost feels like I have no product in my hair. It never gives me a “product build up” feeling even if I let it stay in my hair for a couple of days.

Therefore, to be honest this is actually a smart stuff for everyone. It works amazingly well. If you can get your hands on it, totally give this a try. Please make sure you use it in correct amount. I mean, if you use a lot of it, your hair might start feeling greasy. But if you use very little, you might not see the desired effects. Hence, the key is moderation. Use it in the right amount and you will thank TIGI.

I would recommend this product to all hair colours as well as all hair types. You just have to figure out the right amount which your hair needs. Since I have started using this product, I haven’t been reaching out for any other leave in hair serum. This product basically is all the care my hair needs after shampoo and conditioner.
