Good morning my beautiful friends,

Himalaya Herbals Fairness Kesar Face Wash Review Indian Makeup and Beauty Blog MBF

If you have noticed, I have been reviewing some Himalaya products recently. I do not know myself but these days whenever I am at the super market, I end up picking some Himalaya products. Everyone knows or has heard about the super amazing benefits of Kesar (Saffron) for our skin. It is one of the costliest spices anywhere in the world. A native of Greece, this gives a unique aroma to the food. Its beauty benefits have been known since a long time. It is said to give a natural glow to the skin. Let’s see if this face wash does justice to this gorgeous beauty.

Claims for Himalaya Herbals Fairness Kesar Face Wash

Himalaya’s Fairness Kesar Face Wash is a soap-free, natural formulation that brightens and rejuvenates your skin, giving it a healthy, natural glow. Enriched with Kesar, proven for its complexion enhancing properties, this face wash gives you a fairer and clearer complexion. Pomegranate nourishes, Mint cools, and Cucumber soothes your skin, leaving it refreshed.

Key ingredients

Cucumber makes an excellent toner as it immediately tightens open pores. The abundant antioxidants in Cucumber rejuvenate the skin and leave it feeling soft and smooth.

In Detail Himalaya Herbals Fairness Kesar Face Wash Review and My Experience

The face wash comes in a Himalaya themed tube packaging with a green flip open top. I have to say transparent packagings are always my favourite since I can actually look at the product and I know how much of it is left in the tube. Himalaya has this time written a detailed list of ingredient on this one at the back, which is impressive.

The product has a very rose like fragrance. I am not saying that it smells like garden fresh roses but still it smells pretty much like roses. The colour of the product is peach like. It has a really creamy consistency which is again moderately thick. On squeezing the tube, it comes out like a little creamy ball. It is lovely to apply on moistened skin. It lathers minimally and gives a soft and creamy cleansing feeling.

How I Use it

I have combination skin and these days my skin has been trying to go towards the drier side for some reason. So I have been using this face wash morning and evening when I am at home. I do not use this after I come back from the outside world because I think this is a herbal face wash and not really meant for taking out dirt and oils which usually settle on our skin in so much pollution. So lets call it my “at home face wash”. I take a dime sized amount, massage it on my palm lightly and apply it on my skin over my face and neck. Because it is really creamy, I like to take my time giving my face a soft soothing massage with this one. I wash it off with normal room temperature water and pat dry my skin.

It is a lovely mild cleanser. Leaves the skin very soft. There is absolutely no stretchy feeling on the skin after using this face wash. I actually notice a subtle glow on my face which I really like. This hasn’t ever broken me out or caused any irritation.

So I have been really enjoying using this face wash. I might go get another one. Its really nice and soothing on the skin with its soft creamy consistency. Because we do not need a lot of it per usage, I guess this would last me for a while now. About the Fairness claim, umm I do not agree to that. It does brighten up the skin post wash for sometime but does not mean it would change our natural complexion. Why should we want to change our complexion anyway? We are all proud of our natural complexion here on MBF. 🙂

PROs of Himalaya Herbals Fairness Kesar Face Wash

1. Transparent and user friendly packaging.
2. Soft creamy texture which produces mild foam.
3. Works great as a mild cleanser.
4. Makes the skin soft and gives a subtle glow.
5. Does not leave the skin feeling stretchy after use.
6. Decently priced and widely available.

CONs of Himalaya Herbals Fairness Kesar Face Wash

1. Does not perform the job of a heavy duty cleanser i.e. does not take out all the oil and dirt from the face which we usually have after coming back from outside.
2. The glow it imparts is not a permanent one.
3. Does not change the natural skin tone. Fairness claims are not really fulfilled.

MBF Advices

1. My most important advice to all the gorgeous ladies out here would be, to love your natural skin tone. Let’s discourage companies from making “Fairness” claims. Instead let them make claims of “clear complexion”.
2. Always follow this product with a toner as this is a mild face wash.
3. Dry skin beauties would love this.
4. I would specially recommend this for the winters since it is really mild and non drying on the skin.
