I have combination skin which obviously is pretty prone to breakouts and neutrogena face washes have always gven me good results.

The packaging like all neutrogena products is simple yet sturdy. Its not very fancy looking but the colour theme of sunset yellow and white is quite pleasing to the eyes. It has a flip open top. All the details about the product are present on the labels. Because the product is made in Korea, it has lots of text in korean scripts as well. I guess its safe to include it under our K-beauty products, what say?

It has a nice slightly citrusy smell to it. The smell is really mild and should not bother anyone I presume. It looks as well as feels exactly like water. Its a clear fluid.

How I Use it

I try to use a toner twice daily. However, in the mornings I am always running, so I make sure I use a toner at least at night before bed. I take it on a small cotton piece and gently wipe my freshly cleansed face. You will be surprised that this is able to pick up traces of impurities from the skin which even good face washes somehow are not able to wash off. After toning my facial skin with this toner, I use my regular moisturiser.

Effects

Right after using this, there is a slight cooling sensation on the skin which quite frankly I love. I adore the “thanda thanda cool cool” feeling on my face. The toner is able to pick up even the minutest traces of impurities from my face. It has helped keep breakouts at bay. Since I have been using this, I haven’t had those breakouts around my nose area. Also, my face feels fresher and clearer. As far as blackheads are concerned, I think this helps prevent further building up of blackheads. However, I am not sure if it quite helps with the already existing ones.

On the downside, my worries are, that is does contain some ingredients which may be quite harsh on beauties with dry skin type.

Overall Verdict

This toner is excellent for beauties with normal, combination as well as oily skin types. It contains amazing ingredients such as witch hazel, glycolic acid, salicylic acid etc which are known to clear up acne prone or troublesome skin. So I highly recommend this to such skin type beauties. However, for dry skin types I am not so sure as it might be a little bit drying for them. But you know what, you can always use a good hydrating moisturiser afterwards in case you really wish to try it out.

3. Make sure you’re really gentle and avoid the area around the eyes which is specially quite sensitive.
