I had opted for their half yearly subscription plan and I received a lipstick from this range. Initially, they had only 5-6 lipsticks in this range. The one I received was Sugar breaking bare Lipstick (very beautiful, dark n*de shade).

In fact, this lipstick range was one of the first products sugar cosmetics launched and they did a fabulous job on this. It’s been 4-5 years and I have always had a shade from this range in my makeup bag. It’s a must try kind of lipstick range, they have nice bright as well as on point n*de shades for Indian skin type.

In Detail Sugar Better Call Salmon 09 Its A-Pout Time Vivid Lipstick Review, Swatches and My Experience

Sugar it’s a pout time vivid lipstick 09 better call salmon comes in a black matte rectangular kind of tube with details written on the side. The packing is very sturdy and makes quite an audible click when you close it. It locks well and stays put. The product doesn’t spill or leak making it a travel friendly product. I am a huge fan of this packing …it feels good quality and it doesn’t feel like cheap plastic.

The color name and number is written on the bottom as well as on the side, so you don’t have open the lipstick to check which shade is it.

In case the sticker with the name and number falls off you can always check the side of the lipstick and I have to tell you never have I ever experienced the print rubbing off on this packaging. It’s very common for prints on makeup products to rub-off or fade away, that’s not the case here. They do a very decent packing overall. The theme for their outer packing is almost same for all the products except the last one or two launches.

The lipstick has a simple round bullet inside with a slant in the tip; it’s not like the typical sharp, edgy shape that we usually see in lipsticks. The advantage of the shape of pout time vivid lipsticks is that it never goes completely flat or round even if I use the sides for precise application. It stays the same and you don’t feel the need to reach for a lip brush at all, no need for additional applicators of any sort.

The formula is very pigmented, matte but a creamy-matte. So it won’t pull your lips or make them dry or chapped. It feels light, comfortable, naturally weightless on the lips. It has a bit of a shine to it but not lustrous in any ways. It’s just a hint of it. 2-3 swipes of “better call salmon” because it’s a light color- is what you need to get the most of this color.

Sugar – Better Call Salmon Shade Description

Its beautiful pink color, looks very natural on the lips. It adds that pop of color to the face. It’s a no makeup-makeup look kind of a lipstick on my skin tone. Its great for fair to medium skin tones, but a hit or miss for deeper skin tones.

It’s a great pink for pigmented lips, covers them up and looks fresh and natural.

It stays for around 5-6 hours with light meals. It’s easy to touch up so it’s almost hassle free. It fades naturally while leaving a bit of color on the lips. It doesn’t bleed from the sides easy to rectify if the application gets messy. Its transfers a littles bit but not insanely, that it’ll get all on your glasses and cups but will leave a hint of a colour

Overall removal of the lipstick is easy. It comes off in a single swipe with a makeup remover or makeup removal wipes or baby oil. If you are using ordinary wet wipes to remove it might take a little effort to get it completely off the lips.
