They looked so cute and small and perfect to carry in my bag, I had already tried the Flaunting my pink variant from this range and loved the formula, though I was not so impressed with how it looked on me, so I ordered a less bright and a nude toned shade.

Also, I got it at a flat 50% off, I either shop from amazon or Nykaa for Maybelline products.

I used to be a fan of reds and really bright lips, now I prefer subtle and nude shades more, not the brown tones nudes but the pink, peach and mauve tones kind of nudes.

The shade I have Maybelline Color Jolt Matte- 12 Midnight Brick is exactly my kind of nude, it’s a very pretty shade, quite perfect for everyday wear. It has pink and mauve undertones and isn’t very bright, it’s a bit dark but a soft kind of a shade. it is perfect for Indian skin tones; I am medium skin tone person and it suits me so well.

The packaging of these little lip colors is one of the major reasons I reached out for these again. These are really cute, small travel friendly tubes. these are color coded with a black twist cap. I find them perfect to keep in my handbag as they are the most practical ones for me.

They also come with a self-applicator, it’s a sponge doe foot applicator which is attached to the tube itself. Its good quality, doesn’t irritate the lips, don’t shed at all and blends and disperses the product pretty nicely. They are perfect to give your lips the gradation effect or mixing a few shades or just giving just a little color tint to your lips.

The lip color isn’t like a liquid lipstick neither a bullet formula, these are really pigmented powder textured, very thick liquid formula, kind of like a semi-solid formula, they don’t dry out the lips as they transfer directly as matte lip colors.

These don’t have any shine, they don’t even dry into matte finish, these stay like creamy powdered formula on the lips. the description says they have a lot of shine, but they don t have even a little bit of shine to them, if I apply a lot, it might have a bit of a sheen to it but there is no shine what so ever.

It’s creamy powdered matte formula, which transfers a lot, and the more product you’ll apply the more it’ll be all over your things.

They aren’t matte but they are still a bit tricky to remove, they do leave a bit of residue behind so use a good makeup remover and gently remove the products, if in case some residue is left it goes away on it’s own in a little while.

1. Exfoliate and prime your lips well before applying this product. It has a powdered formula which will make the dryness of your lips even more visible. 
2. Start with a little quantity and build it up, since this product doesn’t dry up, it’ll be very easy to build up, also blend it well, go over with the applicator a couple of time to get the flawless application.
