Maybelline Soft Wine 02 Sensational Liquid Matte Lipstick Review, Swatches: Hello Guys, Welcome To MBF! Today I am reviewing a Maybelline liquid lipstick from their new range called Maybelline Sensational Matte Liquid Lipstick.

I reviewed one shade from this range previously – Maybelline Sensational Liquid lipstick Sensationally Me and now I am reviewing the shade Soft Wine. As mentioned earlier I purchased two shades from this range and I love wearing these. To know more please keep reading my views below.

How To Use Maybelline Soft Wine 02 Sensational Liquid Matte Lipstick

1. For Solid Lip Color: Glide the application from the center of your lip and follow the contours of your mouth.
2. For Gradient Lip Color: Apply lipstick in the inner portion of your lips, then blend outwards for blurred look.
3. For Cheeks: Dot only once on each side of your cheeks. Gently pat around the apples of your cheek with two fingers to blend.

In Detail Maybelline Soft Wine 02 Sensational Liquid Matte Lipstick Review, Swatches and My Experience

Maybelline Color Sensational Matte Liquid Lipstick comes in a see through tube which has its brand name and range name printed on the front and also it has its shade name and number glued at the bottom of the lipstick tube.

It has a black twist open cap where a nice doe foot applicator is attached. The applicator is designed in a way that it helps in applying the lipstick precisely especially on the edges of the lips though the color is dark I need to line my lips first with a lip liner and then apply it.

The packaging is sleek, compact and can be carried along easily without any worry as it can fit in a small purse or a clutch as well. For the price it comes at the packaging is good.

The lipstick has a floral scent to it which fades away within a second of application which doesn’t bothers me much.

Maybelline Soft Wine – Shade Description

The shade I am reviewing is named as Soft Wine which is a very pretty red color and looks good on my skin tone (MAC NC 42). In fact, it’s a universally flattering shade and all skin tone beauties can wear it. Though personally for me, it is a not an everyday wear color as it’s dark and will look way too much if applied at a day time.

The texture of these lipsticks differ from shades to shade I guess because the previous shade I had reviewed Sensationally Me was semi thick in consistency and this soft wine has a thick texture like Nyx Soft Matte Lip creams, as you can see in a Swatch picture below.

It has thick texture and it glides on my lips effortlessly and does not pull or tug my lips. Also I do need to dip the applicator every now and then to apply the lipstick all over my lips because of its consistency.

The lipstick sets into a beautiful comfortable matte finish and does not look patchy like the shade Sensationally Me. Also this shade does not settle into my dry chapped lips but prepping your lips before applying any liquid lipstick is mandatory I feel.

The lipstick is pigmented and covers all the pigmentation of my lips well. Maybelline Color Sensational Matte Liquid Lipstick Soft Wine stays on for about 5-6 hours on the lips.

These lipsticks are transfer-proof. But you will need to touch up after you have your meal as they don’t last an oily meal.
