Maybelline Color Sensational Satin Lipstick Thriller Nude 888 Review, Swatches: Hello Everyone! Today I am reviewing a newly launched lipstick from Maybelline New York. Maybelline has recently launched a range of lipsticks called Maybelline Color Sensational Satin Lipsticks. I spotted these lipsticks on amazon and I grabbed two shades. Today I am reviewing the shade – Thriller nude.

I am a sucker for pink and n*de lipsticks because they are always my go to lipstick shades. Hence, picked a beautiful n*de color from their satin range.

In Detail Maybelline Color Sensational Satin Lipstick Thriller Nude 888 Review, Swatches and My Experience

The lipstick comes packaged in a thin plastic wrapper. The plastic wrapper bears lipstick price, quantity and expiry which comes off while opening the lipstick. It becomes very hard to know the expiry of the product after removing that plastic, which is very important.

The lipstick itself comes in a sturdy plastic case which has a color coded cap. The cap closes with a click which makes these lipsticks travel friendly. It has a color coded sticker glued at the bottom of the lipstick which bears shade name and manufacturing date

Packaging of this lipstick looks very boring and unattractive to me. I hope maybelline should work on its packaging in their color sensational lipsticks range.

The smell of the lipstick is very mild floral and not over powering at all. I have very sensitive nose and it does not bother me much. In fact, disappears within a second after application.

The Maybelline Color Sensational Satin Lipsticks comes in a total of 6 shades which include reds, pinks and nudes. The shades I picked are Thriller Nude and Plum Perfection. So, the shade I am reviewing today is Thriller Nude.

Thriller nude is a a beautiful light pink color. This color looks more dark and pinky in the bullet but the shade seems different on the lips, don’t know why!

This shade will compliment all skin tones. Weather you have deep skin or light skin tone, you are gonna love this beautiful color.

As the name says, satin lipsticks. This lipstick has a a satiny texture. It is very creamy and moisturising. It glides on my lips like butter. So, it does not pull or tug my lips while application.

Frankly speaking I don’t like such creamy lipsticks on me and in fact, I didn’t knew that this satin lipstick is this creamy and shiny. If I would have known, it I would have not purchased it.

However, despite of being creamy in texture, the lipstick is very pigmented. Only one single swipe is needed is to cover the pigmentation of lips. Also, I did not put any pressure to apply it and got the maximum pigmentation out of it.

Finally, coming to the staying power. It stays on my lips for good about 3 to 4 hours without meal. After meal when I saw in mirror just to see for the review weather it is intact or not, it was vanished.

This is the reason why I hate creamy lipsticks, firstly they transfer like no ones business and secondly they are not that long lasting as matte lipsticks are.

1. Always exfoliate lips and apply lipsticks to get the perfect pout.
2. If you have extremely dry and flaky lips and it does not feel comfortable wearing matte lipsticks then you can try satin lipsticks.
3. In fact, I suggest you to go for Maybelline creamy mattte lipsticks from their color sensational range as they cost just 299 and are very long lasting.
