In Detail Too Faced Let It Glow Highlight and Blush Kit Review, Swatches and My Experience
I have been considering getting these products, but it’s always a big leap buying a new product, and all the more so for expensive makeup, so I was so delighted they had deluxe-sized items in their Christmas collection.
Too Faced Love Flush Long Lasting 16 Hour Blush Review
The brush included is sweet, however it was very stiff and didn’t pick up or deliver much pigmentation, and yet managed to get stained with the blush. I did try to use my usual blush brush (one of the vegan Too Faced Teddy Bear Fur brushes) but the blush pan was so small it didn’t work.
Once I applied everything, it all blended so well, and left a flattering and flushed appearance, without feeling heavy and clogging. I wore the blush all day, and despite going to the gym for an hour that morning, it didn’t run or smudge. The other products included didn’t last on their own, but with primer and setting spray, they can last with your blush, all day.
Too Faced Snow Bunny Luminous Bronzer Review
The bronzer was…. Perfect. It’s often that bronzers are warm-toned, with golden-tones, which can leave a cool-toned person, which has pink under-tones, looking orange. This kit has finally delivered The One Bronzer for cool-toned people; a pinked bronzer. I am in serious love with this bronzer and how it looks on me.
Too Faced Candlelight Glow Highlighting Powder Review
The highlight was so shimmery, and layered on the skin next to the bronzer and blush seamlessly. I am getting hints of ‘Pop Of Light’ from the Cocoa Contour Chiselled to Perfection palette, with a pink frosting to it, with the same intensity of shimmer and glide. When it comes to a highlight, shimmer is the name of the game, not colour, and it pays off. So I feel like commenting on its lack of colour would be misplaced, but to some, they might expect the colour to translate out of the pan and on the skin.
How to use the Too Faced Let It Glow Highlight & Blush Kit
Candlelight Glow
• Apply the Candlelight Glow Highlight around the brow and cheek bones, along bridge of nose, and Cupid’s bow for a contour to the face.
• Use each shade separately with the champagne as a highlight, and the pink on the cheeks.
• Blend them together to warm and brighten the complexion.
Snow Bunny Luminous Bronzer
• Apply under the cheekbones for a chiselled look to the cheeks
• Can be worn on the whole face for an overall colour-correcting glow
Love Lush Long Lasting 16-Hour Blush in Love Hangover
• Sweep onto cheekbones for an all-day fresh and flushed look, above bronzer and below highlight.
Packaging and Formula
Once again, the packaging… I could DIE! It’s so sweet and cute. You know a company has done well when you want to keep the box, and have it somewhere prominent to look at it.
Each of their collections has a running theme, which they will use across the range, and the Christmas collection is no exception: this year the theme is Christmas In New York, and has a backdrop of pastel pink, with the Empire State Building in white, snow falling, and a pastel green wreath with a pink bow.
The little touches of gold foil on the box adds a luxe feel, and works so well with the pastel pink box, without being obtrusive or taking over. This particular box has snow falling on a Christmas-lights-wrapped Statue of Liberty, and the woman on skates, dog and wreath.
Inside the box, we find 3 compacts, and an included flat kabuki brush with a heart shaped handle with gold branding lettering and white bristles. The products are in perfect travel-size containers
Two of the compacts look a lot like Oreo cookies (and about the thickness of an Oreo Thin), with the lid having raised gold lettering and raised scrolling patterns on rim. None of the 3 compacts has a mirror, which is a bit of a downside, since if you’re traveling, a mirror of sorts might be handy.
The formula of the highlight is so buttery, glides on with amazing pigment without being too heavy, and blends well with the other products.

MBF Makeup Look
This is my first Too Faced product I’ve tried that’s devoid of a style guide. But it was somewhat straight forwards, after having done a contour look before;
1. I started with a primer (Napoleon Perdis, Auto Pilot Primer)
2. I went under my cheekbones with the Snow Bunny bronzer for some definition
3. Above that, on my cheeks, I did a sweep of the Love Flush blush
4. I went just above that with Candlelight Glow, across the top of my cheekbone and just under my eyes.
I topped it off with a festive matte red lip (BYS, ‘Crimson Joy’). And sparkling green eye (Lime Crime, ‘Mischief Managed’)
Pros of Too Faced Let It Glow Highlight and Blush Kit
• Comes with brush
• Perfect travel size
• Good for trying without buying full-size
• Good bronzer for cool-toned skin
• Smudge-proof, all-day blush
Cons of Too Faced Let It Glow Highlight and Blush Kit
• Blush can stain the included brush
• Small pan size can make using usual brushes harder
• No mirrors in compacts
• No How-To-Guide
Overall Verdict
This is a definite winner for me; travel-ready, with all the pigment you’ll need to glow, on the go, this Christmas! If you’re like me and have space at a premium when you travel, these bite-sized treats won’t bulk out your bag.
It would be the perfect gift to give the Too Faced fan in your life, and at such good value, you won’t need to break the bank to spoil them. If you know a make-up fan who doesn’t know Too Faced, this is a small-scale way to introduce them.
The bronzer is amazing, and works well for a cool-toned/pink under-toned skin. If you’ve been looking for a bronzer that doesn’t leave you looking like you tried to contour with a Dorito’s chip, I can’t stress enough that this is a must-have in your makeup bag.
Get ready to Let It Glow, because I can see this being a popular set this year!
Will I Buy Again?
Yes, yes, so much yes! I absolutely adored this set! It has sold me on buying the full-size versions of these products.
MBF Advises
• Clean brush out with brush cleaner to remove blush pigment
• Blend the two shades of the candlelight glow highlight for soft-pink tinge to your glow
• Wear primer and setting spray to make your highlight and bronzer last with the 16-Hour Blush
