The Body Shop Seaweed Pore Cleansing Facial Exfoliator Review: Hey guys, so today let us talk about a face scrub. I am a combination skin girl, so naturally a facial exfoliator or scrub is a must in my skin care routine. I got this one from The Body Shop after reading some good reviews about it. In fact, I have been an admirer of TBS since a very long time because of their quality as well as the fact that they don’t test their products on animals. I have been using this exfoliator for over 4 weeks now. Hence, today I am here to share my experience with this product. Please keep on reading to know more.

In Detail The Body Shop Seaweed Pore Cleansing Facial Exfoliator Review and My Experience

The body shop seaweed facial exfoliator comes in a sky blue coloured tube with a black flip open top. The packaging is convenient and pretty travel safe. Still, I always like to keep liquids and such products which may leak in a zip lock bag while I am travelling. TBS has mentioned the detailed ingredient list at the back of the packaging.

When you smell it, it has this really nice and fresh fragrance to it. Its pretty mild, so you don’t really notice it unless you want to. The texture of the scrub is grainy suspended in a clear creamy gel like base. These grains are most probably grounded seeds of olive as per the ingredient list.

How I Use it

I take a pea sized amount of the scrub and use it all over my face and neck. Because this is a grainy scrub, I am very gentle while massaging my skin with this scrub. I go in gentle circular motions mostly around my nose, chin and forehead areas. Then, after about a minute of exfoliating, I wash it off with normal temperature water. I use this scrub 2 times a week.

Effects

When you apply this scrub, you will notice that it hardly foams up. Once I wash it off, I can feel my skin feels more soft and plump. It definitely cleans up my pores very well. Although it looks like the scrub is going to be very gritty, it isn’t so. This is grainy but isn’t as harsh as regular grainy scrubs. It deep cleanses my skin without making it feel super dry.

Overall Verdict

This is a great product if you’re looking for a weekly or bi-weekly exfoliator for your skin. This product does the job very nicely. However my only complaint is the number of chemicals I see on the ingredient’s list. I wish there were less chemicals and more natural stuff in there. Otherwise this is a pretty good scrub for ladies with oily and combination skin. Dry skin beauties would enjoy this scrub as well, but because it contains SLS, Alcohol, salicylate, I am a little skeptical that it may dry out their skin a little bit.
