I bought their Night cream which is called the FE Eternal Youth Formula. My skin type is combination, and after a little online hunting, I got hooked to this one. Let’s learn more about the product below as well as my experience with it.

I usually prefer purchasing such expensive items from stores personally as much as possible. However in these COVID times, online purchase was my best bet. After this got delivered, I properly sanitised it with isopropyl alcohol and then started using it.

In Detail Forest Essentials Eternal Youth Formula Date & Litchi Review, Swatches and My Experience

The product comes in a classic forest essentials tub packaging. Plastic tub with a metallic golden colour screw top. I was amazed at like how they do not think about any hygiene measures while deciding on the packaging of such a costly product.

At this cost, I would have expected a better packaging, an airless jar may be? Anyways, its luxurious to look at because of the shiny golden top, but not always the best since you have to dip your fingertips every time you want to use it.

The FE eternal youth formula is off white in colour. It has a nice sweet smell to it and I want to say its kind of herbal. The smell is quite nice. It doesn’t stay for long. Once you have applied the product, it doesn’t linger around for more than a minute. It has a nice creamy consistency and a smooth texture. My cream looks melted because omg its hot in my city (in Rajasthan, India).

How I Use it

At night, after cleansing and toning, I take a pea size amount of this formula and apply it on my face and neck. A little goes a long way and you do not need a lot of it. Just a small amount is enough for the entire face and neck area.

Make sure to apply it in gentle massaging motions to reap the optimum benefits this formula has to offer. Since this does not have any SPF in it, and also because the consistency is slightly on the heavy side , I do not apply it during the day.

Effects

So I have been using this for over a month now and I have started noticing results. First things first, this gets absorbed in the skin in like 5 to 8 minutes after application. Not super fast. After it is absorbed, it doesn’t leave any sticky or greasy feeling behind. When I wake up the next day, my skin looks hydrated and healthy.

It has healed all the dry spots on my face and since I’ve been using this, no new dry areas have shown up on my skin. Over a period of time my skin has become softer to touch and my complexion looks more even. All these benefits can fairly be attributed to its excellent hydrating property.

Overall Verdict

Forest Essentials markets this as an “anti ageing night cream”. I think the marketing is totally on point. Such a lovely moisturising product sure needs to be on the anti ageing list. Because most signs of ageing are caused due to loss of moisture and dehydration. Secondly I think this is a great night cream as well because it works well overnight in healing and revitalising the skin.

This cream is specially suitable for dry, dry to normal and combination skin beauties. I am not sure if oily skin lovelies will love this because like I said before, it does have slightly heavy consistency.

Another thing I would like to mention is, you can start using this cream even if you’re in your 20s. I am in late 20s and I think anti ageing products really help prevent dryness in the skin. You do not have to wait to enter your late 30s in order to start using anti ageing products.

The Forest essentials eternal youth formula is quite costly. But then if you are looking for a good night cream and ready need to invest in something which gives good results, you should totally invest in this cream. You can try out the smaller 30 mL size first. I have been enjoying using this and I would love to repurchase it.

2. Costly. I remember a few years back, forest essentials used to sell this for INR 2875/- for 50 mL. I wonder why did they increase the price to almost double.
3. May not be suitable for oily skin beauties.

1. Store it in the fridge for additional cooling and soothing effect when you apply it.
2. Do not use it during the day because it does not have sun protection factor. In addition, this may be a little bit heavy for day time use.
3. Because this is super costly, try for deals around holidays (Diwali, Holi, Eid, Christmas). Forest Essentials rarely has discounts but they do offer like free products along with purchases during offer season.
