MAC Technakohl Liner Superfly Review, Swatches: Hi guys, hope you all are well and safe. In this article I will be reviewing M.A.C Technakohl Liner – kajal liner in the shade superfly. I bought this product because of the brand. I had tried a lot of M.A.C products but never got a chance to try its kajal liners. It was a choice between Technakohl liner or M.A.C Powerpoint eye pencil and I went for Technakohl as it comes with a twist mechanism whereas the Powerpoint liner needs to be sharpened and I knew I would end up wasting quite a bit of the product if I didn’t opt for Technakohl.

MAC Technakohl is available in a spectrum of shades which obviously can be confusing so I thought to myself lets stick to basics and go for the darkest black available hence the shade superfly.

In Detail MAC Technakohl Liner Superfly Review, Swatches and My Experience

MAC technakohl liner comes in its signature packing of meticulous black plastic with the brand name, shade and other details written in silver. The pencil is quite sleek and comes in a mechanical packing. It locks nicely when you close the product which makes it travel friendly. You can just put in your handbag and carry it along without hassle and since it’s a twist pencil you don’t have to worry about sharpening it either.

One more great thing about the packaging is that you can extract and retract easily it doesn’t get locked if you extract a little more than required. But if you do extract it all the way out that might dry out the product or break it and might be difficult to salvage but then again, a little extraction and retraction is completely fine.

Its ophthalmologically tested so it’s safe to use on the waterline though if you feel any kind of discomfort I’d suggest you stop using it immediately as some people have extremely sensitive waterline which is quite common.

The formulation of this product is very soft. It glides on without any tugging and doesn’t hurt when you apply on the waterline. Its very pigmented so 2 swipes will give you quite a dark output.

It can be used as a kajal, eyeliner or eyeshadow base or even individually for smokey eye kind of look. I apply two swipes for kajal and not more otherwise it bleeds in a while and gives me racoon eyes which I am sure nobody is a fan of.

Superfly is a jet black colour without any shimmer or glitter particles making it such a versatile product.

It stays for good amount of time as an eyeliner if I prime and powder my eyelids and same goes for when I use it as kajal. The key for it to not bleed is prime and powder otherwise it doesn’t stay for more than a couple of hours.

I don’t have extremely oily eyelids and still the product doesn’t stay. So that’s one thing that disappointed me. I use it more as black eyeshadow base or when I want to smudge my kajal and eyeliner. I apply this and set it with a black eyeshadow and it looks amazing.

It can be easily removed with a makeup remover. It doesn’t come off at once and might leave a bit of the residue specially on the under eyes. Use baby oil if that happens. Also, use a q-tip to clean the waterline thoroughly don’t sleep with kajal in the eyes.

MBF Advises

As an eyeliner – do prep your eyelids properly and keep the eyes closed for a couple of minutes so that the product dries up completely. Apply at 90 degree angle for precise thin line and at a flat angle for a thicker flat one.

As kajal – avoid touching your eyes for some time so that the product sets well also do powder the under eyes

As Eyeshadow base – don’t leave it on for long as it does dry up and then it will be difficult to blend. apply the product and start smudging do on eye at a time that’ll reduce the chance of it drying up
