When you purchase a Viva glam lipstick from MAC, the proceedings go for the AIDS fund and it is a good cause. About Mac Matte Viva Glam 3 Lipstick

In 1994, M.A.C introduced VIVA GLAM, an outspoken deep red. In 1997, VIVA GLAM II was created a pinked mauve. VIVA GLAM III, a foxy brown plum, launched in 2000. VIVA GLAM IV, a heartful rose charged with gold, was introduced in 2002.

In 2004, VIVA GLAM V made its debut a pure neutral pink with a Lustre finish. The newest VIVA GLAM VI is a warm terracotta-plum with a pearl finish. Every cent of the selling price goes toward helping women, men and children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.

In Detail MAC Viva Glam III Lipstick Review, Swatches and My Experience

Mac matte viva glam 3 lipstick comes packed in a regular matte black cardboard box with fewer information printed on it. The actual lippy has a tad bit different packaging.

The lipstick has a shinny black and red body with black cap. The cap has a shut lock closure which makes the lipstick travel friendly as it may not cause any mess in our handbags. The lipstick name and number are glued at the bottom of the lipstick.

Overall I really liked the mac viva glam lipstick packaging its so classy and attractive.

The viva glam lipstick shade I am reviewing is viva glam 3. MAC describes it as muted brownish plum shade which is true. In fact, this shade is very beautiful and unique among the shades available in this range by MAC.

The shade looks very flattering on medium as well as dusky skinned girls. Viva Glam 3 is little dark in person as it seems on camera and it is definitely not an daily wear shade and cannot be worn in day time, the shade is perfect for night outs. But if you do love wearing deeper shades during the day, you go girl!

The texture of the lipstick is same as their matte lipsticks. It is very creamy and glides on like butter without pulling or tugging my lips. Though it is matte in finish but not completely matte the lipstick sets into a very comfortable creamy matte finish.

I do not feel any need of applying a lip balm also people with dry lips will enjoy using it.

The lipstick is amazingly pigmented and covers pigmentation of lips really well. Only one swipe is enough to get the opaque color. Also the intensity of the color depends on how many layers it is applied.

The lipstick has a very pleasant vanilla scent which is not bothersome at all.

The lipstick stayed on my lips for good about 4 hours max and with light meal it looses its intensity a bit. While having heavy meal it vanishes from centre of the lips and reapplying it becomes necessary. It leaves a mild stain on lips which is easy to remove.
