MAC E for Effortless Love Me Lipstick Review, Swatches: Hey guys, today we are going to talk about E for Effortless which is one of the most beautiful red lipsticks by MAC in their Love Me Lipsticks collection. This is a permanent collection and the highlights of this collection for me are two. One the packaging is out of this world. Second I have been totally digging the finish of these lipsticks.

In Detail MAC E for Effortless Love Me Lipstick Review, Swatches and My Experience

First of all, I want to talk about the packaging of this lipstick which is completely unreal. I mean, that fading in metallic red with the black looks nothing short of stunning. The shiny glossy outside kind of talks about the formula of the lipstick which is not matte. It closes with a click.

The lipstick has that classic vanilla fragrance which is pretty standard for all MAC lipsticks.

The Love Me lipsticks are different from the other previous lipstick collections by MAC. Major difference being the formula and finish. This has to be the most comfortable and moisturising formula by MAC so far. The finish of the lipstick is “luminous”. Its not shiny like amplified lipsticks neither satin. Its in between and looks very pretty.

Another thing I love about this creamy formula is how this does not emphasise any dry patches on the lips. So it hides the texture on the lips to an extent. In fact it actually hides the lip lines and makes lips look fuller. MAC advises to use this over their prep and prime lips. (Or any other lip primer I feel), but even without it, it performs very well. In the pictures and videos below, I am not wearing any primer underneath the lipstick.

The lipstick texture is really silky. It applied smoothly on the lips and does not slip or anything. Also, this feels hydrating throughout the wear time and never makes the lips feel dry. It wore comfortably for like 4.5 hours on my lips without meals. With meals, this won’t last as long because it is a creamy formula.

This particular shade E for Effortless is described by MAC as “Burnt Deep Red” and its a very apt description indeed. It is a warm toned red and will look fabulous on all skin tones. In the bullet it actually looks deeper but once applied on the lips, this looks a very vibrant red. The pigmentation is spot on and it applies opaque in a single swipe though its rare that I apply just one swipe ever. I usually apply 2 coats.

It comes off comfortably with a normal micellar water or drugstore makeup remover. Leaves behind a pretty red tint on the lips.

In the video below, “Top 10 Best MAC Red Lipsticks” you can see side by side swatches of E for Effortless VS the other famous red lipsticks by MAC such as Ruby woo, Russian red, Chilli, Viva Glam 1, Lady Danger, Marrakesh, Viva Glam VG 26, Sia, Authentic Red, Diva.

In the second video, I am wearing the this lipstick although the video is about the Nykaa Mascara review.

Honestly I can’t think of any cons because unless you don’t like luminous lipsticks, you are going to love this for sure. There’s nothing to not like if you like the shade of the lipstick.

MBF Advises

I was able to pull this off without a lip primer underneath. However if your lips feel dry or you have dry lips, consider moisturising them and using a primer for a more even and flawless finish.

This lipstick qualifies for back to MAC programme, so don’t throw out the case once you finish the lipstick.
