NYX Precision Brow Pencil Review, Swatches: A few months ago, I received an award and had to dress up in a saree. The lady who draped the saree watched me put on my make-up and when I was done, commented on my ‘naked brows’. She took her kajal pencil and gave me a bit of colour. I noticed how lovely and different I looked and vowed to figure how to get my brows in formation! I went through a whole lot of make-up products, many brands but found nothing that was easy to use, within my budget, of good quality and looked decently natural.
About NYX Precision Brow Pencil
This dual-ended Precision Brow Pencil sculpts and tidies your arches with minimal effort. A well-shaped brow should elegantly frame your face and bring a make up look together without being too prominent itself – and this is the perfect product to help you achieve that effect. With a flat tip pencil at one end and a spoolie brush at the other, you can seamlessly define and tidy brows without the dreaded ‘drawn on’ effect.
How to Use NYX Precision Brow Pencil
Outline your eyebrows using the pencil, then draw hair-like strokes to fill them in. Softly blend the shading and tame your brows with the spoolie-brush.

In Detail NYX Precision Brow Pencil Review, Swatches and My Experience
I think when I entered the NYX store in Inorbit Mall in Mumbai, I did not expect to find one either but hey guess what, NYX has 9 varieties of brow enhancing products. Imagine 9 different kinds to suit a variety of needs like fill, define, thicken or give you feathery strokes.
The Precision Brow Pencil does not have a box of its own but comes tight packed, in plastic so there is no tampering of the tip. It is a dual-ended pencil. One side has a flat tip for outlining your arches and filling them in with detailed, hair-like strokes and the other side features a flexible spoolie-brush for seamless blending and getting your eyebrows into place.
How I Use it
To use it, this is what I do: Turn the pencil horizontally and use the flat side to lightly define and outline the lower edge of the brow and extend the brow tail. Repeat the same with the top edge of your brow. Don’t press too hard or you will get a harsh, dark line. Once your’e done, you want to make little dashes in the same direction of your hair growth to connect the top part of the arch to the outer edge of the tail. Finally turn the pencil perpendicularly and use feathery motions to fill in the inner part of your brow. With the spoolie, finish everything off by blending it all in to soften the look.
I have very very light brows that are sparse so using a dark colour to form my brows looks fake. Worse if you are fair then it just stands out on your face. If you have a heavy hand the pigmentation is not so fierce. A single swipe won’t tarnish your brow. It has become my go-to brow product because not only is the formula good but it’s easy to use. I was able to get a sculpted look and found the right shade as well. Taupe blends with my natural light hair colour perfectly. I am so thrilled with it.
There are 8 natural-looking shades in the NYX Precision Brow Pencil Collection:
• Ash brown
• Soft brown

2. Available in Sephora and flag ship stores in malls
3. Dual pencil with a spoolie
5. Soft formula
6. Nice chic packaging
7. Travel friendly
8. Shade indicator on the top of the cap
Cons of NYX Precision Brow Pencil
2. Not smudge proof
3. Not water resistant
4. The bristles of the spoolie are a wee bit hard
5. Available in exclusive stores only in select cities
6. Too many fakes in the market
Overall a great product to wear for a couple of hours as long as you stay dry and don’t touch your face. Saves time and energy because it works with precision exactly like it claims. Try it at the store; Ask the SA to teach you and then fill in your brows yourself. If you can master it and find the right colour, go ahead and get it. It is so worth it.
