This was my first rice water product and definitely NOT the last one.

The Face shop has become a very well-known skincare brand in the Indian market, they claim to be natural ingredient product developed with Korean technology. I have tried quite a couple of its products and I haven’t been totally disappointed by any of them till date.

Speaking of this product, it’s called The Faceshop Rice Water Makeup Remover – For Eyes And Lips.

It comes in a transparent bottle with black cap, which is a twist cap and it already has a hole punched for the dispersion of the product. Since it doesn’t have a pump or anything, you can take as much or as little of the product needed by you. You can always control the quantity.

It’s a very travel safe packing, it’s a small round bottle, fits anywhere, closes tightly and does not leak. It is available in only a single size and somehow, I have never been able to get my hands on the sample size of this one, I would love to have more size options available.

Since the bottle is transparent you can always see how much product is left with you and since it has such a simple packaging concept you will be able to use even the last drop of it. Not a single drop is left in the bottle.

The formula has different density liquids, which separates when left for a while. It’s a milky texture formula which is oil based and removes all impurities and makeup from your face. Though it is oil based it doesn’t feel like one, it has very mild rice water which nourishes the skin and leaves it soft and subtle.

It specifically says eyes and lips but I use it for full face, I would not ever reach out for another remover just because it says eyes and lips. since it targets on eyes and lips, basically two places where we use the most concentrated, waterproof kind of makeup, it works quite well for the rest of the face as well.

But if you are not comfortable with using it for full face, you can always use 2 makeup removers.

It’s very effective that just a couple of seconds is enough to get rid of even water proof mascara, no tugging or pulling or stretching of the skin is required.

It doesn’t burn at all, It’s even safe for waterline, it doesn’t sting my eyes at all, if it stings yours wash off immediately, rinse your eyes very thoroughly get rid of all the product. Sometimes we don’t know what we are allergic to, it might suit a lot of people but might not suit you.

I must have tried at least 10 different makeup remover products and this has only been the one I have repurchased 4 times. I go through this like crazy and I am always reaching out for this one only and rest of the removers get expired and I end up wasting and throwing a lot of it, that’s why I am saving this little much (as you can see in the picture) that I have left and using up all the other ones that I have.

I never feel like I need to apply a mask or anything after removing my makeup with this, with a few others I have to apply something to soothe and nourish my skin.
