I could not complain when he got it but instead thought of giving it a try.

I am happy with my hair volume so that was not what I was excited about in this shampoo. I was intrigued by the idea of reverse system. So, lets see if it works.

The shampoo comes in the signature Tresseme shampoo bottle which is black in color with pink color detailing. It has a pink color press open cap which I find convenient to use. It is sturdy, sleek and travel friendly. There are different sizes ranging from sachets to huge bottles. You can purchase whichever suits you the best.

The smell is really very pleasant. It wont last long but as long its there I totally love it. Its a refreshing and soothing scent that I totally like. The shampoo is pearly white in color with some shiny micro particles in it. I find this is a common feature in most Tresseme shampoos. The consistency is on the thinner side and I find that easy to work with. This kind of texture helps in forming lather easily and the application becomes easy.

What exactly is the Reverse system?

The reverse system of this shampoo suggests that we use the conditioner first and the shampoo afterwards to cleanse the hair and lock the volume as conditioners tend to weigh down your hair and make them flat. I liked the idea and kind of agree with it. Since the shampoo works in the reverse manner I tried it that way. It left my hair really dry and from the next application onwards I used it in a regular way, the shampoo first followed by the conditioner as I do not have volume issues but I do have dry hair problem.

So, if you have dry hair then you will be disappointed. It did have an effect on my hair volume, so yes the volume claim is true. I feel on the third day the hair comes back to its natural state so the 3 day claim stands untrue. The volume effect is profound on the first day, little less on the second and gone on the third. The volumising effect is more if you use it in the reverse manner. The shampoo removes oil and dirt from hair very effectively in one go. Its very good at cleansing your hair and leaving your scalp refreshed.

Overall, it’s a shampoo worth trying for women with limp hair. It does naturally enhance the volume. Do not expect your hair to be miraculously transformed. It just amps up the volume in a natural looking manner. It does leave your hair dry so keep this in mind before buying it.
