Yves Rocher Marvelous Berries Hand Cream Review: I am a low maintenance gal, hand creams are the last thing I would put on, never used them before, also dint need to. Also never really understood what difference it would be from a body lotion. Only three years ago when I experienced the harsh winters in Europe I started using hand creams. Today I am reviewing a handcream from yves rocher ‘marvellous berries hand cream’.

In Detail Yves Rocher Marvelous Berries Hand Cream Review and my Experience

I wash my hands excessively, also more after the baby. Two things I cannot go to sleep with are dirty hands and the dirty feet feeling. I need them both squeaky clean and that is also a reason I never used hand creams thinking they would be the same formula as lotions that sometimes feel sticky and leave residue

I noticed dry, dull and rough patches near my knuckles that’s when I knew I had to buy a hand cream. So, I was walking in the mall when I came across the yves rocher store and they had all the limited editions up in the shelves, the packaging drew me to it.

I reached for it and asked if there is a tester, the lady brought me a big bowl from under the shelve and made me smell it . Oh I cannot explain how amazing the smell was! I bought it home and I used it that night, with in one use I could see results.

Product and packaging

The cream comes in an eco-friendly tube, with a flip open cap.I bought a small tube to test it out. The packaging is beautiful, red-white-gold themed, it has Christmas trees, reindeer and snow on it, a bird sitting on a berry branch..the flip part of the cap has the’ YR’ logo on it. The opening is perfect sized not to small not too big and its easy to control the amount that comes out.

The product is a glossy white cream. The consistency is like fluffy cream, just the right viscosity not too thick like a balm not too runny like a lotion. The cream is easy to work with and quickly gets absorbed. The cream is not sticky at all.

Work it in and it leaves with satin finish silky hands that you wont stop touching . The cream leaves your hands feeling smooth without the feeling of a sticky lotion residue.

Besides from the actual work that the hand cream is supposed to do, that is leaving your hands feeling soft, it also smells amazing. You cannot stop smelling your hands. I am sure my husband thought I had gone crazy smelling and touching my hands excessively after the first application.

Overall Verdict

Festive scents are my favourite. the smell of sweet tart berries and hidden citrusy notes Had me smelling my hands all night long. The gorgeous scent lingers for about 2-3 hours. I only apply this once in the night before bed and it does wonders and leaves my hands looking healthy and supple.

I went back to the store to get the body lotion and the shower gel from the same range the next day.. This is their Christmas edition that they launch every year and it only lasts in the stores till December.

I went in the store just yesterday and couldn’t find them anywhere and was a little disappointed that I did not grab the bigger tube of the hand cream in time.

A bigger disappointment that I will have to wait one whole year if I want to buy the same scent, the only con. I am running out of the product but I will use every last bit of it after it stops coming out by cutting the tube horizontally and shove my finger to scrape the remaining product. Believe me there will be a lot in there good for a few more days.

I feel like tubes are the worst form of packaging as you don’t know how much product is still left inside after you think it’s over because its not coming out. Hence, I cut up most of the tubes of my favourite conditioners and lotions to use up every bit of it, yes I am stingy like that.
