In Detail Garnier Fructis Silky Straight 24/7 Smoothing Serum Review and My Experience

I have thick coarse hair. My hair is very frizzy and I usually use some hair serum to take care of the frizz. So I came across this serum and thought would try this. It comes in a green coloured translucent bottle with a flip top. Its a really nice compact size which makes it travel friendly. It has all the description mentioned on the back label except the most important information. Yes, the ingredient list is missing which is pretty sad to be honest considering the fact that the companies expect us to blindly put anything on our body/hair without knowing the exact contents.

The consistency is pretty much similar to most serums available in the market. It has a fruity smell to it. The smell stays on for an hour may be, not more than that. The serum is colourless.

How I Use it
I take a dime sized amount and apply it on my towel dried hair using my palms and fingers. There is no product left sticking on my palms after application. I then like to let my hair air dry. When I am doing a hair style, I take the serum and lightly spread it on my palms and dab it superficially on my hair to get a sleek look.

I find that this product makes my hair quite smooth. Frizz is reduced to a great extent. Brushing through my hair becomes very easy after using this product because there are less tangles in the hair. My hair looks much tamed down. Because frizz is reduced, my hair has a little more shine than it would have otherwise without the serum. I am not sure why they say that this can make the hair straight? I mean this does not make my hair straight or anything. It makes my hair look nice and less frizzy but definitely does not make them go straight.

Pros of Garnier Fructis Silky Straight 24/7 Smoothing Serum

1. Easy to use travel friendly packaging
2. Non sticky, light consistency with a mild fruity fragrance
3. Detangles Hair
4. Makes hair smooth
5. Reduces frizz very nicely
6. Very less product is required per use so this little bottle can last very long
7. Can be used on damp or dry hair. Works good bothways.

Cons of Garnier Fructis Silky Straight 24/7 Smoothing Serum

1. No Ingredient list mentioned anywhere
2. Does not make the hair straight as claimed

MBF Advices

1. If you have thin/fine hair, please use much less quantity or else it can make the hair look greasy
2. Never apply serums on the roots of the hair unless mentioned otherwise
3. Never rub the product in you hair, always apply with very light hands

Do I Recommend Garnier Fructis Silky Straight 24/7 Smoothing Serum

If you have dry coarse hair, do try this. This is actually one of the very few serums which actually worked on my unmanageable hair.

MBF Rating

4/5

Giving it 4/5 because despite all the cons, this actually showed results on my hair.
