In Detail Lakme All In One Pan-Cake Review, Swatches and My Experience
The lakme all in one pancake comes packed in a maroon color square cardboard box. The actual pancake comes in a plastic round case with some information printed at the back. The case does not have any mirror attached to it. Nor it has any sponge applicator in it.
Although the packaging is not sturdy enough to carry along with us so easily so it is definitely not travel friendly according to me. Overall I really didn’t like its packaging it is very average nothing to be excited about.
The smell of this pancake is very strong you guys! I bet if you do not have sensitive nose, then also you cannot bear its smell. It has a very weird cheap cosmetics like smell which takes a lot of time to vanish even after application. I have sensitive nose and cannot bear this smell at all.
Now speaking of the shades it is available in and what shade I picked. It is available in 4 shades. I picked the shade natural shell because I have their skin tint in natural shell and also Lakme radiance compact in natural shell. This is the reason I picked this shade. I thought like them, even this will suit my complexion.
But this shade is a total blunder. You can see in the swatch pictures below, it is too white for my wheatish complexion. Also, this particular shade is meant for wheatish complexon, in my opinion this would suit only very fair skin ladies.
I do not understand why lakme does this everytime with their shade ranges. First of all. it is an Indian brand and sells their products in India and their shades caters only for fair skinned girls. I think lakme should strictly work on this issue as soon as possible. When I wore this pancake, my skin was looking like I have worn a cream based white face mask on my face.
The texture of the lakme all in one pancake is very creamy. When I swirl my fingers in it, the pancake melts like butter because of the warmth of my fingers. As mentioned in its indication to use, I dotted it everywhere on my face and neck and blended it with my fingers it self. It does get blended really well and does not give patchy look.
The coverage it provides is sheer. My acne spots and dark circles were still visible even when I layered it, focusing on my problematic areas. So if you are thinking that it will provide you with any coverage than you are wrong. It will not do anything it will just slightly even out your skin thats it.
The finish it gives is not completely matte, it will give you a dewy finish. So it will suit dry skinned beauties all well. Also as time went by, it started creasing under my eyes and also on my eyelids as I have hooded eyelids.
The staying power of it is very bad. It just stayed on my skin for about 2 hours maximum and it was transferring like crazy on my mobile phone screen even after setting it.
