In Detail Plum Green Tea Renewed Clarity Night Gel Review, Swatches and My Experience

The product comes in a standard cardboard packaging with a cute little note inside. The actual product is contained in a transparent glass jar which makes it easy to identify the level. The product is pale green in colour and has a soothing fragrance to it which is common to all the products from this range. Some may find this fragrance overpowering but it goes away on as soon as it is applied and absorbed by the skin.

The negative sides of the packaging are the possible breakage of the glass jar which makes it less travel friendly, and the hygiene issues related to dipping your fingers into it each time.

The product has a gel consistency which is neither too runny nor too viscous.it is easily absorbed by the skin and imparts a luminous glow to the skin unlike normal moisturizers that make my combination skin look like I smeared oil on my face. I see this working as a good makeup base owing to its tacky nature. Foundation and other complexion products glide easily on this as long as you don’t go overboard with the application.

I loved the fact that this is paraben, SLS (sodium lauryl sulphate) and phthalate free. The product is meant to be applied at night before sleeping and I have been religiously using this since the past one month. A bottle lasts almost two-three months if you apply it daily.

How I Use it

I cleanse my face with a water based and oil based cleanser (double cleansing) and pat it dry. After using my toner I dot this gel onto my face. I usually take enough product for five dots, one each on each cheek, on the forehead, nose and chin. The product is easily blendable and is absorbed almost instantaneously. I suggest massaging and patting the gel into your skin.

Effects

It does not make your skin oily but plumps it up. It took me a week to achieve noticeable effects. I have a lot of acne marks and active acne going on and the continuous usage of this gel lightened the marks and reduced the appearance my pitted scars and pores. It also reduced the frequency of acne and the tiny bumps on my forehead vanished. I have dry patches around my nose which seems to have become less flaky.

I was afraid of using thick moisturizers even in winter as they broke me out each time. I have tried different brands, even the high-end ones, but my naughty skin never calms down. However, this product amazed me as I did not have high expectations from this one and it turned out to be my holy grail.

All you oily skinned girls out there will surely love this gel. please be careful while applying this. Once I tried layering it on and my skin did itch a bit. I strongly recommend a patch test before application as you could be allergic to one of the active ingredients.

Overall, I’m in love with this product and will be using it on a regular basis till I find something better.
