Juvia’s Place Nubian 2 Yellow Eye Shadow Palette Review, Swatches: Hello there Gorgeous! Stop what you’re doing and listen to what I’m about to tell you! I promise it’s going to be worth your while! Juvia’s place is a small indie company in the US that makes eyeshadow palettes specifically targeting women of color! That’s great news for us tanned girls, who seem to be struggling with shadows that are primarily made for fair skinned beauties. I love how companies are becoming more versatile.
When I first saw this palette months ago, I was intrigued, but I couldn’t get it at the time. A few months later, it popped up on my screen again and I knew I had to have it. Before I could get it, one of my really close friends surprised me and gave it to me as a gift for my birthday!

In Detail Juvia’s Place Nubian 2 Yellow Eye Shadow Palette Review, Swatches and My Experience
The swatches on Instagram and google had me drooling. I love having colors and neutrals in one palette. Makes it so much easier to use. I’m the kind of person that uses one palette at a time. I personally hate mixing and matching palettes, seems like too much effort and I usually do my makeup in a hurry. That’s where my only gripe about this palette comes in.
I really don’t like that they don’t have a matte white/off white shade for a matte brow bone highlight. For me that’s really important in a palette and I don’t want to have to always take out a second palette when I use this. Apart from that, I completely love it!
The colors are so vibrant. They transfer onto the eye just as they are in the pan which is so rare. They don’t become muddy and they blend beautifully into one another. I think I might just have to pick up some of their other palettes as well!
Juvia’s Place Nubian 2 Yellow Eye Shadow Palette All Shades Description
The shades included are:
Morocco – Matte burnt orange: This is a really good, soft transition. Crease shade. I love this for warming up any look!
Madagascar – matte Medium Sand Brown: Another really good transition shade. Can be paired with any other color!
Sheba – Metallic medium cool toned brown: This metallic is super creamy! It glides on like a dream and looks beautiful!
Yaa – Metallic copper: Another beautiful creamy metallic. Yaa would be perfect for a popping neutral eye look! Highly pigmented
Jezebel – Matte Eggplant purple with strong warm undertones: although this shade looks like a purple in the pan, it transfers more like a cranberry on the eyes. It’s a deeper matte which can be used to darken up the crease or the outer v or even to smudge out on the lower lash line for a smoky look
Zuri – metallic off white : This color is great for an inner corner highlight or as an all over lid shade or a under the brow bone color if you prefer shimmery shadows for that
Cleopatra – Shimmery Metallic Deep Blue: I love that this transfers perfectly on the eye. Usually blues end up looking black but not this one! This shade does have a bit of fall out though
Nefertiti – Metallic yellow orange: This shade would light up a room! Perfect all over lid shade
Nairobi – Metallic warm yellow: This color just reminds me of the sun. It’s bright and so gorgeous! Would brighten up any look.
Leyla – Sparkly Deep cool eggplant purple: This is the perfect shade for a smoky/sultry look. Also prone to some fall out
Kenya – matte deep brown: a deep matte brown is a staple for a darker transition or darkening the crease or the outer v!
Egypt – Metallic forest green: One of my favourites in the palette! Love how it’s true to the color in the pan. A fantastic pop of color!
