Elf is a extremely affordable brand from united states. It isn’t easily available in India but in America you can find it at almost every drugstore with the cheapest price tag.

I’ve been fond of the brand and have been using their liquid lipstick for quite some time. It cost me around a $1.55 and can also be gotten for a dollar and different places in America.

It comes in a standard plastic body packaging which shows that no effort or money was invested into the packaging. Having said that it isn’t cheap or flimsy, it is a solid plastic packaging.

Since it is entirely transparent you can see how much product you are left with. It comes in a pencil form which I find extremely convenient to use.

I’d say I’m impressed by the application process of this dollar product. It comes in twist pen form. You need to twist in order to exude the product. A soft slant cushion is present of the other end of the pen. Slowly the product comes out of the micro holes and thus gives a very controlled amount. The sponge applicator is effective and easy to use. Since there is a slant it will perfectly fit your lips.

Coming onto the quality and texture. They brand the product and a liquid lipstick but it no where near a lipstick by all means. It is a gloss and that’s about it. Despite the wrongful name, it is a solid gloss.

Perfect consistency and easy application. I’m not a gloss girl but this gloss really impressed me. Given that it’s a gloss you will for sure get your hair stuck on it. This is a constant struggle. The stickiness doesn’t go away for a few hours but eventually as you go by your day it mellows down.

It does keep my lips hydrated throughout the day. My favourite way to apply it is over a matte liquid lipstick once the lipstick had dried down.

Staying power is decent you can’t expect much out of a gloss anyway. It stays put for good 4 hours and eventually starts to fade. The shine goes away but the moisture remains intact. The colour does fade away and leaves no staining.

The colour is something very much made for the Indian skintone. It is a mix of pink and red with golden reflex in it. The shimmer particles are very small and thus will not stay and glitter on your lips. It gives a nice golden sheen to the lips which looks great paired with red or maroon lipsticks.

It gives a nice luscious looks to the lips and keeps the lips hydrated. It’s suggested to apply a slight layer onto the matte lipstick else the matte lipsticks can flake off and it won’t give a nice look.

This gloss also has another feature which is my personal favourite. It is flavoured. Yes! It has a yummy minty flavour. Someone like me actually wanted to just eat it since it feels so yum. It is such a refreshing flavour in my opinion and also something I’ve never felt before in any other gloss.

It will give you a tingling feeling as if it’s a lip plumper but everything eventually settles down in the matter of minutes.Some might not like this fact but I personally enjoy it. It isn’t something bothering.

I have throughly enjoyed this gloss and will continue using it and will surely buy other colours in the range.

The only issue I had was that how less the quantity is. They provide of 1.5 gm of product but I’d say for the quality given at this price point it isn’t as bad.
