In Detail LUSH Golden Egg Bath Bomb Melt Review, Demo and My Experience

Like all the bombs this bath bomb melt also comes in a paper packaging.

Now this one is slightly different than a normal bath bomb. So, there are bath bombs that fizz and there are bath melts that melt. Bath melts are mainly made of natural oils and butters, essential oils, celestial oils etc. This one is the combination of two, the outer part is a bath melt and the inner part is a bath bomb and it fizz, hence a bath bomb melt.

As the name goes this bath bomb melt is shaped as an egg and is covered in golden lustre .
It shares the same scent as “Honey I washed the kids” soap. Sweet toffee-honey combination and slight notes of citrusy at the same time.

I would save these for times when my skin needs deep conditioning.

It also reminds me of the hershey’s foil wrapped chocolate eggs that I used to love as a kid.
Drop the egg in the tub and watch as the water turns gold with the lustre, this one is a slow fizzer and rotates and travels around a lot. The gold shimmer is covering the egg and is also mixed throughout. The outer layer is a bath melt hence it does not fizz, after the outer layer melts away then the inner layer fizzes out creamy foam.

How it works

It takes about 7 minutes to fizz out completely. You can imagine how amazing it would turn the water once its all fizzed , like you are bathing in pure gold …..heres a slight displeasure, the water dint turn golden it turned in a florescent yellow color which looked like pee (ughh! Yuck) and was a put off. I think lush needs to work on the color of this bath bomb melt. In fact, I closed my eyes to relax and ignore the color of the water… I wasn’t gonna waste it just because of the color.

The bath melt is full of Moisturizing and protecting olive oil, refreshing and rejuvenating Brazilian orange oil, softening and conditioning Columbian cocoa butter, uplifting and cleanzing bergamot oil.Perfect for tranquil baths, your skin will love it.

My skin was left moisturized and scent lingered on my skin even after 24 hours.

The water drained and it dint tint the tub but the glitter was stuck to the tub but nothing that a good rinse wont solve.

If you don’t like emerging out of water looking like glitter goddess then this aint for you. I would rate it 5/5 if it dint turn the water pee yellow !
