MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencil Engraved Review, Swatches: Today I will be reviewed about one of the eye pencils or kohls that is closest to my heart in the eye pencil range- MAC Power Point Eye Pencil shade – Engraved. In the search to find a non-bleeding, long lasting eye pencil I have made up a huge collection of around 20 odd eye pencils/ kohls.

Well, my search is still on. Out of the 20 odd pencils I end up using only 2 or 3 of them on a daily basis and the others are just contributing to the collection. I however try to apply them as eye liners or have saved them for it but since my eye lids are oily and greasy, the eye pencils leave their color everywhere on the eye lid apart from the place they should really be. Let me share my view about this pencil from MAC which I had bought during one of the recent hauls to the store. Please do let me know your views about the same.

In Detail MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencil Engraved Review, Swatches and My Experience

I have spent a lot of money till date on various brands that advertise on Kajal pencils that are smudge proof, long lasting and water resistant. While many of them were able to partially keep up to their claims, somewhere in my mind I had laid my hopes on MAC to be the final destination in my search for the kind of Kajal that I need.

Since for most of the days I prefer a soft Kajal look, I was keen on getting a soft black color that was not a jet black one and something which I can easily remove every day without much of tugs and pulls on the most sensitive eye area.

I had heard a lot about the Power point range of Eye pencils from my friends hence wanted to lay my hands on them. There are 2 shades in it- Engraved which is a rich black and Stubborn which is rich brown.

The MAC Powerpoint pencil comes in a regular wooden pencil packaging with a plastic cap. The name of the pencil is engraved towards the top. The pencil texture is creamy and soft but it gives a nice matte effect on application.

A single stroke gives a soft look however 2-3 strokes of the pencil makes it obvious on the water line. Since I am more of a fan of liquid eyeliners especially for black color, I did not use this pencil much on my lid. However, whenever I did, it stayed put without any smudging or bleeding.

On the waterline however it did not last longer than 3-4 hours max and post that it started fading and required reapplication to give a neat defined look. The other pencils that I have used from other brands do not last more than 2 hours on my waterline and I was happy that this MAC pencil worked better for me.

But my search for the kohl that stays for long is still on especially for times when I don’t want to reapply. All in all, MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencil Engraved is a decent water proof and smudge proof pencil which gives a matte effect on application and is easy to apply on the water line and eyelids. It’s a bit expensive though.

1. MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencil Engraved stays on for 3-4 hours intact on me after which it gives a faded look.
2. To make the Kajal last longer, wipe the tip with a clean tissue paper and then apply on the waterline. This removes the creamy or oiliness on the tip making it a bit matte for longer stay.
