I am here to talk about the blackest eyeliner I have ever had !! I received it for the first time as a present from my mother’s friend. I did not even know how to put on an eyeliner that time, I was a kajal on the lower waterline kind of girl so it took me a very long time to try this one out. Once I did there was no going back. I bought it again and there was a time when I couldn’t get my hands on it and now finally I have it. This is my 4^th bottle.

How to Use Shahnaz Husain Shaline Plus Herbal Eye Liner

Apply a line of eyeliner just above the eyelashes on the upper lid, from the inner to the outer eye. You may extend the line beyond outer eye if you wish. for the lower lid, apply liner just below and close to the lower lashes, going towards the outer eye.

In Detail Shahnaz Husain Shaline Plus Herbal Eye Liner Review, Swatches and My Experience

This brand does not have a lot of cosmetics, there are just a few products to try out. The eyeliner doesn’t come in any other variant. This is just the one available and getting it can be tricky sometimes. Though it’s almost always available on the shahnaz Husain s website.

It comes in a very simple outer packing. It’s a simple plastic packing which is molded just to fit the product and is covered with very thin sheet of cardboard. It can easily be opened but cannot be reused to put the bottle back in.

The eyeliner comes in a black plastic matte finish bottle with a golden colour metal cap. It’s a twist and open kind of packing. the most unique thing about the bottle is the mirror on one side of the bottle which is only big enough for you to see both the eyes at the same time. I don’t think you get this feature in any eyeliner.

The brand and product names are printed on a sticker and stuck on the opposite side of the bottle. Its not a round cylindrical bottle but an oval one which is how the mirror is embedded on one side.  

It’s a twist and open kind of packing and very easy to travel with. I always put it in my bag and go about it, never ever have to be worried about the bottle opening or any spillage. The cap closes tightly. It comes with a thin sleek precise tip brush applicator attached to the cap which is all I use with this liner. It’s a useful applicator and gives you the shape you want – be it a thin line across the eyelids or the thick dramatic winged eyeliner look. it does the job. 

It’s the darkest eyeliner I have ever used and I must have tried more than 15 different products be it gel eyeliner or liquid or kajal plus liners. Nothing can be closer to how jet black and pigmented the Shahnaz eyeliner is. It is supremely pigmented and very soft, fine texture and not at all watery which is why it takes a minute to dry out completely. It’s not fast drying. But once it dries down, it settles into a nice smooth even matte finish.

Its herbal as well, which isn’t that big an issue to me but for some people its very important that all their cosmetics and skincare products are herbal and organic. It also has that herbal fragrance to it which goes away after application but is quite soothing to me doesn’t feel too strong or artificially fragranced. 

One thing that doesn’t make it the best eyeliner is that this is NOT WATERPROOF. It comes off very easy with just one drop of water and that’s why the number of times I can wear this is very limited.

If it’s too hot outside, the sweat will wash it off. If it’s raining it’s a big no! If there’s a slightest chance of any contact with water I can’t use it.

But it goes on smoothly on heavy eye makeup looks, even gets on properly over shimmer and glitter eyeshadows where a lot of eyeliners fail to come out as dark. However, this one still gives that popping jet black lined eyes. If it doesn’t come in contact with water it stays for a very long time.

It might get flaked off if you rub on the eyelids, the liner will bleed or get removed in patches. 

Its easy to remove as its not waterproof but still use a wet wipe to remove the liner before washing your face. Don’t just splash water because it’ll start to run down your whole face and nobody wants that and once it gets in contact with water it will bleed and be off very quickly.
