In Detail Sugar Pep Talk 17 Nothing Else Matter Longwear Lipstick Review, Swatches and My Experience
Sugar Nothing Else Matter lipstick comes in a fun vibrant and very girly rectangular cardboard box which has a very feminine graphic prints on it. The actual lipsticks comes in a matte black lipstick case which just has the brand name and number written on the case and also the lipstick shade and number is glued at the bottom of the lipstick in color coded sticker.
The cap of the lipstick shut locks tightly ensuring the lipstick is travel friendly and can be carried along in a handbag easily. Overall I loved it’s packaging. It is very attention grabbing and pretty.
The lipstick has a floral scent to it which diminishes within a second of application and it is not strongly scented so it will not affect sensitive noses.
The shade I am reviewing is called Pep Talk which is a very vibrant pink color with a little bit of red and coral undertones to it. The color is a little hard to describe, the swatches below would be more helpful for such a stunning shade.
The shade will suit fair to medium skin really well but if you are above nc42 in Mac this shade will look slightly neon and will wash you out. This shade suits my complexion well when applied lightly.
This shade is prefect for marriages or functions and not an everyday colour for my skin tone. Because it is very bright and stark to be used everyday or at daytime.
The texture is very smooth to apply and glides on my lips effortlessly without tugging on my lips much. The formula of the lipstick is semi matte. It’s neither very creamy nor very matte.
It sets into a comfortable matte finish and does not dry out my lips. People who are not comfortable with liquid lipsticks formula can try this formula out. The lipstick does not set into fine lines of the lips but this shade kind of accentuates dry and flaky lips so prepping lips prior application is mandatory or it may look weird.
The lipstick is amazingly pigmented only one swipe is all you need to cover the pigmentation of the lips well. Being the brightest shade, I apply it according to my preference. Sometimes I just lightly dab it and spread it with my fingers to lower down its intensity or when I feel like applying a bright shade I apply 2 swipes of this and a kajal at night time and I am good to go.
The Lipstick is not completely transfer proof. It transfers a bit but it doesn’t loose it’s intensity. It suffers heavy meal but comes off from centre of the lips like most lipsticks do after having oily meals.
It stays on for good about 5 to 6 hours maximum. Also this shade Pep Talk stains lips badly so may need a good micellar water and wet wipes to get rid of it.

Cons Of Sugar Nothing Else Matter Matte Lipstick Pep Talk
- Accentuates dry and flaky lips.
The lipstick is matte in texture but definitely is comfort matte. It glides super smoothly on my lips and gives a matte look. The pigmentation of the lipstick is awesome. One or two swipes and you get a bang on color on your lips. The lipsticks are so pigmented that they easily hide all the pigmentation of lips. Also these lipsticks are affordable and won’t cause a hole in your pocket.
