The Body Shop Strawberry Body Butter Review: Hi Guys, welcome to MBF. Today I am reviewing a body butter from The Body Shop. I really adore The Body Shop products as they are good and work on me, though their products are a little expensive. But they’re worth every penny. I love their Tea Tree range and their Body Washes in different variants mostly and have multiple of them as my whole family uses it and loves them.

The Body Shop Strawberry Body Butter Review

I haven’t tried their Body Butters before as I am not a big fan of moisturising my body somehow but when I saw this Body Butter on discount I thought of trying it.

Their Body Butter’s are available in variety of fragrances and I like Strawberry the most so I went ahead and ordered Strawberry Body Butter along with the hand cream. I have been using this body butter on my arms and legs mostly at night and after shower from 4 weeks now and I am all set to give my opinions on this.

In Detail The Body Shop Strawberry Body Butter Review, Swatches and My Experience

The Body Shop Strawberry Body Butter comes wrapped in a thin plastic. It does not have any outer box packaging. The body butter itself lies in a nice pinky red huge tub which has the brand name and range name printed on the front of the tub and has a same color twist open cap where a graphic print of Strawberry label is glued which looks delicious.

The cap of the body butter closes tightly ensuring that the body butter is travel friendly. However, the tub is huge. Taking it along while travelling will not be a good idea as it can occupy a lot of space. So, taking some in a small travel jar is what I recommend. Overall the packaging of this is average considering the amount paid also we need to put our fingers whenever using it makes it very unhygienic.

The body butter has a very pleasant strawberry smell which lingers everywhere the moment the tub is opened and if you love strawberry you will feel like eating it.

The body butter is extremely pale pink in color. The consistency of it is very creamy and thick. It glides on my skin very smoothly and we need a very less amount of it and hence the whole tub will last me very long.

How I Use it

The first time I used it, I took a lot of it rubbed it between my palms and massaged it all over my hands which made my hands feel greasy and I thought it is named Body Butter for a reason. Basically, we just need a pea size amount for both our hands and that’s enough especially in summers.

This body butter is extremely moisturising so people who have very very dry skin will love using this body Butter. For others, I will recommend to apply it very little or use it in winter’s.

Effects

It makes my skin so soft to touch and also the fragrance of it lingers for a long time which I love. The fragrance lasts for 2 hours maximum and if used with combination of shower gel the fragrance can last more.

It also takes quite a while to sink into my skin as I don’t have dry skin but my mother uses it sometimes on her feet as her feet is very dry and rough and this soothes her skin very well.

Also the moisturising effect lasts for a long period of time. I applied it after shower and my hands and feet were hydrated for about say 4 to 5 hours in a cool Air Conditioned environment.

MBF Advises

I wouldn’t recommend this Body Butter nor will I buy in future as it is very expensive like approx 1200 for body butter is way too much. I will look out for another cheaper options rather than repurchasing this. There are various more affordable ones available which perform equally well. But if you’re into luxurious skin care, this is a pretty great option.
