The Body Shop Matte Clay Skin Clarifying Foundation Review, Swatches: Hello Beauties, Today I am again up with another review and this time I am reviewing a foundation from The Body Shop. I was at a mall and I spotted The Body Shop store and there was a offer going on that if we purchase 4 products than they will give us 30 percent off. So I went little crazy shopping and bought few of their makeup as well as shower gels.
This foundation is also the part of that haul. I have heard so many good reviews about this foundation so I picked this up for me.
The shade was matched by the SA so I did not find any difficulty choosing it and I bought the shade Moluccan Nutmeg which is the perfect match for me. To know more about this foundation from the body shop please keep reading my views on it below.

In Detail The Body Shop Matte Clay Skin Clarifying Foundation Review, Swatches and My Experience
The Body Shop clay foundation comes wrapped in a thin polythene. Once opened it has a sleek squeez tube with black twist open cap which closes tightly and can be carried with us easily.
The tube bears all the necessary information about the foundation in front as well as backside. It has a very thin nozzle which controls the amount of foundation dispense without wastage.
Overall I liked its packaging sturdy cute as well as travel friendly. This foundation does not have any scent to it which I like.
It comes in a total if 10 shades as per the SA in the store I just saw 6 shades there and the shade 055 Moluccan Nutmeg was my perfect match. I am Nc 40 when I am not tanned and when tanned I am nc42. So this suits me to the dots. I think girls with above skin tones can also find their match, but I hope body shop could come out with more shade range in this.
The texture of the foundation is semi thick not very thick nor to liquid-y. It has the perfect consistency what I like my foundations to be. I mostly apply this foundation with my foundation brush and it does gets blends very easily without giving me a patchy look.
I always moisturise and prime my face and than apply my foundation. It glides on my face very easily and effortlessly.
The coverage of this foundation is medium to build-able. One layer provides medium coverage and second layer high coverage, but I still need a good concealer to cover my under eye dark circles.
The finish it provides is matte but not the matte-st. It can be easily worn by dry skin people as well but with a good moisturizer prior.
I love this foundation to wear during day time as it is matte finish and does not make me sweat a lot and also I have extremely oily sensitive skin. It has all the natural ingredients in it like tea tree which is clinically proven to treat acne and also thyme and moroccon lava clay etc.
It did not break me out and despite being a full coverage foundation it is extremely light weight and do not feel heavy even in this humid weather.
It stayed on my oily skin for a long period of time. I did not felt a need for touch up frequently. But if you are planning to wear it the entire day that a touch up will be must. Also this does not transfers to tissue or phone screen much and also it doesn’t oxidises on my skin like many foundations do.

MBF advises
I can say that I really liked the foundation. I have nothing bad to say. It’ll definitely be my go to foundation and I would recommend this to anyone from the oilier as well as sensitive family like me.
Also no matter what skin type you have always moisturise and prime your face as well as neck before applying base as even they play a major role in your foundation routine.
