I am back with another review and this time I am reviewing a foundation from Nyx Professional Makeup named as Nyx Total Control Drop Foundation. I wanted this foundation from so long but the shade I wanted was was always out of stock on nykaa.

Fortunately I got this shade one day and I ordered it without thinking twice. I had heard a very good things about this foundation and also its packaging tempted me a lot to buy this. In Detail NYX Total Control Drop Foundation Review, Swatches and My Experience

Nyx Total Control Drop Foundation comes packed in a black rectangle mini cardboard box with fewer information printed on it. The box is misplaced by my little one so sorry for that but the information provided there is not upto the mark.

The actual foundation comes poured in a sturdy frosted glass bottle with nyx logo and range name printed on it in black. The bottle comes with a dropper cap and it closes tightly ensuring that the foundation is travel friendly.

The dropper picks the right amount of the product preventing wastage. The bottle is quite small and also the quantity provides is just 13 ml which is little expensive to me considering that it is a drugstore brand. But, overall I really loved its inner packaging, especially that dropper kind of applicator.

The foundation does not have any smell to it which is definitely a big pro for me. The foundation comes in total of 17 shades which is really amazing as all our Indian beauties will definitely find their perfect shades in this foundation.

I chose the shade Camel which the perfect match for my skin tone. For your reference, I am NC42 in Mac and my Maybelline Fit Me foundation shade is Warm Honey. 

The texture of the foundation is very liquid-y. Although I do not like liquid-y foundations much, somehow I like this baby. The texture is so runny that accidentally while applying it, I dropped some the foundation on the floor. So be careful with it.

This foundation is so velvety in texture. It glides on my skin so smoothly. You can apply this with your fingers, brush or a beauty blender. It will do its job perfectly. For more coverage I apply this with my pac buffing brush.

The foundation is not heavy. In fact, it is very lightweight. This is very good for this hot and humid weather. Coverage of nyx total control drop foundation depends on the way you are applying it.

For heavy coverage go with a good quality foundation brush. For medium coverage, apply it with a beauty blender. Lastly, for no makeup look or sheer coverage, you can apply it with your fingers.

NyX says that for light coverage use 2 drops for medium use three and for full coverage use four. This is really not true. In fact, for medium or full coverage we need more than 10 drops of this foundation.

The foundation has a demi matte finish. It does not completely settle into matte. It will suit all skin type beauties perfectly. But for really dry skin girls, they may need a good hydrating primer. I use this with its Nyx Total Control Drop Primer which I have reviewed here. And the finish it provides is amazing and flawless.

Nyx total control drop foundation doesn’t accentuate pores or cause breakouts at least for me. Nyx total control drop foundation stays for a good 6 hours and even more sometimes. It does not oxidise easily and does not make my face more oilier as time goes. But after 6 hours blotting face and applying a good mattifying powder is compulsory for me as my t zone becomes oily.
