From the last 5 months, I’m hardly taking my eyes off the laptop due to “Work From Home”. I didn’t had dark circles any time in my life but because of this lockdown, I got the chance to experience them as well 😉
TV, mobiles, Laptops makes our eyes so stressful and sometimes we can’t do anything about that because most of our lives revolves around them. But the least we could do is provide some nourishment to the eyes with healthy food habits and good eye care creams.

I trust the Biotique brand so much that I immediately looked for eyecare creams in their website as soon as I realized that my eyes started becoming restless and developing dark circles. Since the eye area is so sensitive, I didn’t want to risk using any chemicals around it.  I picked the “Bio Almond Soothing and Nourishing Eye Cream” without even worrying about the reviews because Almond is very good for maintaining eye health.

The packaging is exactly the same like other biotique products with white tub and green cap with a protective case. The tub is so small and looks like a sample piece. It has a mild herbal smell just like the other biotique products.

I have tried lots of skin care products with almond as the main ingredient and most of them smelt nutty or buttery. This one does not smell like any of them; it has hints of camphor in it. 

At first, I applied this closely around my eye area and just after 5 min, my eyes started stinging so badly that I immediately washed out the cream with cold water. The cream didn’t even get inside the eye but still it made my eye very uncomfortable. Then, from the next day, I applied it only under the eye area and didn’t even dare to apply all around the eye.

The cream is so oily and it will take so much time to absorb into skin and sometimes I feel like it doesn’t get absorbed at all. After using it every day for almost 1 month, I didn’t find any noticeable results to my dark circles or puffiness. And at the same time, it didn’t harm my eyes as well.

But one thing which I liked about this, it gives a sort of healthy, moisture and cooling effect to your eyes and it feels good after a tiring day.

The price sounds a bit expensive for the quantity but the good thing is only a very small amount is enough to dab the eye area and hence it lasts for 3 months easily if you apply morning and night.

MBF Advises

It’s just a normal moisturizing eye cream. I expected so much from this product as its from the brand Biotique but it didn’t meet my expectations. But however you can try it if you want to feel some relief after a rough day. If your eyes tingle after applying the cream, then do not rub your eyes with hands as it will make the irritation even more worse, try to wash the eye area thoroughly with wet cotton cloth.
